It seems like a weird gamble to me.  I'm assuming EH makes money off of OBS, so what happens when OBS says, "Sorry, not fond of bulling tactics."  Sure OBS would lose some money, but wouldn't EH lose a lot more?

I don't think I'd take that gamble myself just because the store also carries an item I don't like.  Christ, if I did that, the only place I could sell stuff was from my own website.
D&D is not an "everyone gets a ribbon" game.  If you\'re stupid, your PC will die.  If you\'re an asshole, your PC will die (probably from the other PCs).  If you\'re unlucky, your PC may die.  Point?  PC\'s die.  Get over it and roll up a new one.

Seeing as RPGnow sells Maid, i find any moral outrage over Desborough's stuff rather hypocritical. "I don't want to share a store-front with the guy who courts controversy and isn't very clever, but i have no problem sharing a store-front with that pedo game!"

Indeed; it's easier to achieve press for you product by being a "bad boy" and hoping to impress people by railing against all those nasty oppressed people, than by producing a quality product that's worth buying. I've got no love for Evil Hat - being a filthy European, they don't consider me worthy of being allowed to buy their games, so I won't - and this episode shows OBS to be pretty spineless, but at least those two groups have contributed something to gaming.

I can't say that I'm surprised that they're going after Desborough like this, and if they're successful, I don't think this'll be the last time we see Evil Hat try this.

Hypocrisy isn't exactly a new thing with that group.  It's rather embraced actually.
