I did. All that came up under your posts for the first pages are just replies to some of the most political of the topics... typically being snide and insulting to others.

Under topics your most recent after the one I mentioned previously (the ad for the Gygax inspired adventure) were a few custom Cepheus Engine ships you designed and some pre-gen characters, a link to a sector generator, a post linking to a Cepheus Engine ship designer, and how to eat like a Druid.

What is there to comment on in those topics? Particularly if you don't play anything using the Cepheus Engine or want to eat like a druid.

Why a lot of the threads on the website owned and operated by RPGPundit, an OSR author who writes professional commentary on the OSR and creates OSR products, are about the OSR!  So he came to an OSR forum that allows open speech on political issues and is mad because it has conversations about the OSR, and it allows criticisms of his precious leftists.

I came over to this forum to escape the culture wars of many other gaming forums, for far too many of them have threads which degenerate into extreme positions that would alienate a majority of people—as well as often being hypocritical grandstanding.

However, THIS forum is often worse than the "woke" forums as people on this forum start threads, or hijack threads, with equally boring and irrelevant "anti-woke" nonsense. Right now as I post this, 5 of the top 10 threads are expressly and exclusively on sociocultural issues (albeit from the conservative view), which is a higher proportion than I ever see on the mainstream, "woke" forums. Can we stop it?

Two things can be true at the same time.  The ideas that...

1. This is the only place on the internet where you can talk about the Leftist Woke agenda proliferating through games, media and all entertainment.
2.  This site is becoming more about bitching about that agenda in gaming, than actually playing games.

...are not mutually exclusive.  You could almost guarantee that #1 directly leads to #2 over time.

So looking at the RPG discussion board, 14 0f the first 50 threads are distinctly political/social ideological discussions.  Even then, they are more focused on getting it all out and going back to gaming for the fun of it.  Only two are explicitly aimed at another group to condemn them.  That leaves 72% of the threads on various aspects of participating in the hobby that doesn't center on griping about others. 

I would actually argue that there is more effort to make it about participating in games here than on any other site.  Every /r is at least 50% politics, the other boards are practically propaganda sites with just enough RPG sprinkled in to keep the nu-geeks attention.  4-chan /tg/ has devolved into being mostly AI shit.

Or, you're exagerating and there's far less "politics" threads on the main forum as you seem to think there are, and those that are there are related to the hobby hence they haven't been moved, plus if ANYONE deviates into strictly politics unrelated to the hobby that someone gets at least a warning, probably a thread ban.

Now, you all can go to ANY of the other RPG sites and tell them to stop pushing leftard politics and stick to gaming and see how fast you get banned.

After you do so and bring the proof AND you prove the "political" threads on the main forum are way more than the non political ones I might entertain your claims.

I agree with you the threads are lame, stupid and pointless, and you'll find the occasional comment from me in some of them saying so.

That said, the best counter to shitty content is good content. Post some threads, comment in others, push up the good and we can more easily ignore the bad.

These forums have always had a good deal of such political discussion, partially because of the number of users here that have been thrown out/fled/been disgusted by rpg.net's far left politics.

In addition to that I think there's even more of those threads right now, because in current year 2023, the conservatives (and/or not-so-far-lefties who are tired of wokeness) are smelling blood in the water. The anti-woke have turned into a much larger movement of people who are pissed off and willing to boycott companies who spew bullshit, lie to fit a victimhood narrative, and actively hate the consumers.

Eh, most of us are here, in the end, for entertainment of a kind.  That can be discussing gaming itself, or topics in the news, or just about anything.  And making fun of SJWs is also a form of entertainment for most of us.  Come on now -- isn't this entertaining?
