This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.
NOTICE: Some online security services are reporting that information for a limited number of users from this site is for sale on the "dark web." As of right now, there is no direct evidence of this, but change your password just to be safe.
The RPGPundit's Own Forum Rules
This part of the site is controlled by the RPGPundit. This is where he discusses topics that he finds interesting. You may post here, but understand that there are limits. The RPGPundit can shut down any thread, topic of discussion, or user in a thread at his pleasure. This part of the site is essentially his house, so keep that in mind. Note that this is the only part of the site where political discussion is permitted, but is regulated by the RPGPundit.

I figured this is to big to ignore, but have you seen Wikileaks recently?  Turns out the Democrat Nomination Committee had decided to fuck over Bernie and go for Hillary.

Yes, but since 'the russians' did the hacking to help Trump, we're supposed to change the subject.

Yeah well that won't happen.  At least for me.

Oh please.  Can't I hate BOTH parties?

Guccifer 2.0 and Wikileaks = 21st century journalism

I'm shocked Bernie became Hillary's bitch. He's 74 and the DNC rigged the primary against him. WTF does he have to lose by standing his ground? I can't believe Ted "Fuckface" Cruz has more backbone, but Bernie got on his knees and betrayed everything he's been talking about for 30+ years.

Hillary may be able to corral the party faithful with her fear mongering, but she's pretty fucked for reaching out to independents, just like Trump who seems to have hit his ceiling as well.

BTW, I understand the various hackers are promising more goodies this week.

Despite the past history of such, I suspect this would be a great time to be a well funded moderate independent presidential candidate.

I was actually fairly impressed that the Republicans' RNC under Reince Priebus (crazy name) did not do this to any great extent, and accepted the will of the voters.  I had not expected them to behave any better than the Democrats' DNC. Maybe the Republicans remember Nixon and think the media would expose dirty tricks - even against Trump? I doubt it though, I get the impression the US media will shill for the Establishment candidates of either party without partisanship. I suspect maybe Priebus is just not such a morally contemptible individual as Wasserman-Schultz.

That was evident from the get go. Didn't need a hacker to bring that one to light.

I get the impression that he doesn't like Clinton much, but he truly despises Trump. The adult, pragmatic thing to do is to act in a way that gets you the candidate closest to what you want. As for betraying all he has talked about in the past, while he considered a primary challenge in 2012, he did endorse Obama. It's not like he has made compromises to endorse candidates he didn't like that much before. He just wanted Obama more than he wanted Romney.

Cruz, on the other hand, has decided that if he can't get the Republican that he wants, he is going to try and peel off enough support from Trump to hand the election to Clinton. It's hard to read it as a virtuous stand, as he already swore to give his support to whoever won early in the nomination process.

It may not just be pure tantrum throwing on Cruz's part though. A Clinton victory sets him up for a 2020 run, while a Trump victory could push his next chance at the presidency to 2024. He might view allowing Clinton to set the direction of the Supreme Court for decades as a small price to pay for his personal ambition. Or maybe he is just a short-sighted asshole more concerned with his personal ego than in achieving any of the purported goals he was elected to Congress to achieve. I can read it either way.

No. Both parties had their thumb on the scales equally. It's just that, Trump was successful enough that it simply wasn't enough to swing things against him. Meanwhile, on Democrat's side, it is doubtful that Clinton even needed the help of the DNC in the first place.

I dunno, obviously there was a huge Gegen Trump movement among Beltway Republicans, but it seemed centred in the think tanks and media - National Review etc. The Republican National Committee didn't do much to get involved that I can recall, and Trump has praised Reibus.

It is isn't too hard to find Trump taking any side of any issue depending on his mood. He has also called Priebus and the RNC a "disgrace", and insisted that "Priebus knows what is going on." He also called the Republican Primary system "rigged" on many, many occasions.

Yes, but there is evidence now instead of speculation.

Yes and it is annoying.  The topic is about the DNC and not Trump.
