It might be nice if that's how news worked but that's just not the case.
That's exactly how news works.
I haven't read a major newspaper in years, but back when dinos roamed the earth, newspapers had different sections - News, Sports, Entertainment, Opinion, Business, etc. I do read the local freebies. Couldn't imagine paying for a newspaper anymore.
Unfortunately, the idiot box and the 24hr cable news have muddled everything into 30 minutes of Infotainment with beer and diaper commercials. Of course, news requires fact gatherers and fact checkers which is expensive, whereas opinion only requires someone to run their mouth, leading the worst aspects of Infotainment to greater partisan extremes...for profit.
But I do like DeFranco. Anybody who opens his show by calling his viewers "my beautiful bastards" has my nod. And he does separate reported facts from his opinion which is a notable difference from most of his YT competitors.
It's fun to watch the dumbasses on the right act just as hypocritical as the dumbasses on the left. The Colin Kaepernick situation, for example, has been a great source of lols for me.
Very true. There is no shortage of partisan extremist blindness.
I love how the Kaepernick debacle led to Papa John's Pizza getting pissed at the NFL. Now that's the law of unintended consequences in action!
