SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The RPGPundit's Own Forum Rules
This part of the site is controlled by the RPGPundit. This is where he discusses topics that he finds interesting. You may post here, but understand that there are limits. The RPGPundit can shut down any thread, topic of discussion, or user in a thread at his pleasure. This part of the site is essentially his house, so keep that in mind. Note that this is the only part of the site where political discussion is permitted, but is regulated by the RPGPundit.

Wow. Just wow...

What the hell do they put into Canada's drinking water? LSD?

Isn't the explanation much simpler? The historic references are lost on the simpleton average citizen who will 'fill in the blanks' by reference to what he's familiar with. How surprising! Sex and the supernatural. And, oh, let's laugh at anachronistic dress style and appearance ('his beard looks unkempt to me').

Reminds me of this joke. A patient is interviewed by a psychiatrist, who draws an image and prompts the patient to tell him what he sees.
Psychiatrist draws some random scrawlings - patient: "I see a naked women".
Psychiatrist is disgruntled, but resorts to simply draw another set of random scrawlings. Patient goes: "I see a naked women".
Psychiatrist thinks WTF? to himself, and for a final third time draws some random scrawlings. Patient goes: "I see a naked women".
Psychiatrist bursts out: "What's your problem, you pervert?"
Patient: "Me? You are the asshole who draws that dreck!"

Yep. The only things sane that ever came out of a focus group are probably "Let's break for lunch" and "Alright, we're done".
The main problem with government is the difficulty of pressing charges against its directors.

Given a choice of two out of three M&Ms, the human brain subconsciously tries to justify the two M&Ms chosen as being superior to the M&M not chosen.

Doom

That's plenty bizarre stuff, although there's a Picasso painting that shows how easy it is to see a woman.

Just wait until the origami folk get ahold of these bills, we'll start seeing some really weird stuff.

A nice education blog.

As of today, I have officially stopped regarding this site as a distraction from my work.

I used the article Jong linked to in the OP and some of the follow up remarks as parts for a presentation at an international academic conference earlier today. (No further details shall be provided, to protect the innocent.) It even went down really well.

Thanks, guys!

Just so you know, I replaced all your slides with Lolcats.
