I've seen gay/lesbians that stated they don't want to have sex with someone with physical anatomy of their non preferred gender accused of being Transphobic. Straights that say they don't want to watch or couldn't perform sexually with someone of their sex due to finding the idea off putting even gross called homophobic despite them being vocal and active supporters or homosexual civil rights in all other respects and the "Everyone is Bi some are just more honest about it than others" bit.

And then comes the various accusations about preferring and disliking specific features or body types.

I guess some people find the idea of that  others might not want to have sex with them based purely or primarily on their physical make up unbearable so feel the need to vilify those people. Its likely always been true but like so much else this age of mass communication has shined a spot light on it.

Edit: Well, if nothing else that gender symbol chart will be of use in a friend's GURPS Transhuman Space game.

Edit: Tying a little more back to ther topic of the article, I've seen transphobic arguments directed at straight/homosexuals that weren't sexually interested in Trans individuals that made no effort at all to present themselves as their preferred gender aside from possibly dressing at it such as male to female with full beards. Its gender as a social/emotional construct taken to its full extent. Its totally what's inside that matters so the focusing on the external is shallow and "bigoted".

I just watched a medical video on the creation of Frankenpussy. It's an amazing surgery, especially the ability to re-purpose the various bits.  Apparently, it works well enough for some people to make some monkey slapping good times. There was always been a chicks with dicks fandom in porn (its a lucrative niche-market), and in various clubs since the ancient times.

It is a fascinating procedure and usually fully functional sexually, providing appropriate sensations, extremely painful to recuperate from as I understand which is why some Transgender women don't go through with it. I recall that Female to Male GRS isn't nearly as complete, being mostly cosmetic. Which makes sense given how human sexes develop.

I see no justification for violence, but not telling someone until after you've been intimate? Thats dishonest enough to border on rape.

There was Islan Nettles who was beaten to death in New York in 2013 whose killer was only indicted in 2015, and Jennifer Laude killed by a US Marine in the Philippines in 2014 - both used a version of panic defense. Neither of those were in Texas or involved a prostitute, though.

This is relevant to the larger point because there is a huge gap between "someone on the Internet told me I was transphobic for a dumb reason" and "someone beat me to death and justified it in court". I think the latter indicates that there is a far more serious problem on that side.

Theryn Meyer is another good one. She and Blair have done a few videos together.
