This is not, obviously universal, but the number of people that believe this about themselves are largely and unnecessarily high.

I think that trying to claim that offering an exchange of services to get what you want might support a claim that women shop the world, but not rule it.  Usually, rule means you can DEMAND what you want and expect to get it.  Not promise to pay for what you want and hope someone is nice to you after getting what they want.

Kinda. There is a law of diminishing returns. Too much attitude puts you in Douchenozzle Territory. That doesn't preclude you from attracting people... but those people tend to be... let's call it "CRAY-ZAY", because those people they attract are too stupid to see these overconfident blowhards for what they are.

People mistake "attitude and confidence" with "overconfidence". I mean specifically being "self-actualized". Overconfident people have fragile egos. It's bluster. They break under pressure. Confidence comes from "Knowing Ones Limits" and resting surely on that.

The "Knowing" is the tough part that people have, especially nowadays because we live such pampered lives. Gotta get out there and test yourself without coddling and never stop. That serves the purpose of keeping your ass in check with yourself. and keeping you honest about your pursuits while increasing your competency in the things you do pursue.

If you just look at other people all the time - like self-inflicted victims do, they make excuses for their victim-state and tend to do nothing about it. They spend more time judging others and not taking the hard look at themselves and figuring out what's *not* working. I know a LOT of people in my personal life growing up that have done this. Grown fucking men driving Uber and waiting for shit to happen, not realizing at our respective age - you're running the wrong race, son.

Most of those people I've largely relegated to the corner of my life. Or out completely. I have lost my sympathy for them. But not my empathy.
