This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Won't Somebody Think of the Children?!

Its pretty clear for some time that the Gnomes are targeting our human children: cookies with friendly-seeming gnomes (sometimes mis-labeling themselves as "elves") meant to appeal to the young; cutesy-poo cartoons and books with "friendly" gnomes, that case those boys in Colorado cracked about the underpants-thefts, etc.

I am not sure that this is exclusively for the purpose of just early training in the idea that gnomes are innocuous; I think it could be something more.

Also, who knows in what other ways the Gnomes are responsible for the corruption of our youth? It was recently reported, for example, that children today are more likely to own a cellphone than to own a book.

That's deeply shocking, particularly given that cellphones are clearly part of a Gnomish plot.

But, Pundit, just by reading your post is become apparent that someone already is "thinking of the children".

The gnomes are obviously thinking of the children. ;)

Yes, well that's the problem.
