Title: The Garden Gnome (classic)

Garden Gnomes

I have written a few ideas about how Garden Gnomes fit into the game of Gnomemurdered, but I did not tell the whole story in the Gnomemurdered 2e gamebook.

Did you know that Garden Gnomes were originally created based on ancient german (that's right, GERMAN) folklore? Ancient (possibly forbidden) lore?

They were brought over to England by a noted spiritualist and all around nutjob named Charles Isham, who believed that by placing the Gnomes in gardens it would attract REAL GNOMES.  That's right, he was conducting a dark ritual to summon actual gnomes, a ritual that technically is still being conducted anywhere a garden gnome is to be found.

I mean really, would you trust this guy (an original German Garden Gnome)?:

Just look at it!! its pure evil. Why would anyone put that in their garden unless they are (through being duped or their own conscious will) desiring to make dark pacts with utterly alien evil beings out to murder humankind!?
Don't let the friendly pipe (usually a sign of a likable person) fool you, either! Remember: Gnomes don't smoke tobacco in their pipes.

Interesting, maybe Precis should try to farm out the game to movie producers.  Gnomemurdered: the movie would kick ass.

Note, that this little fellow is a Gartenzwerg (Garden Dwarf), not a Gartengnom (Garden Gnome). The latter probably don't exist, at all.

That's nothing more than clever Gnomish deception.
