I had a thought for how to make a Superhero scenario for Gnomemurdered. The PCs are the equivalent of the Justice League or what have you, and they're dealing with a group of supervillains who are stealing technology to try to open a gateway to a parallel world.

Only when the Villains do so, accidentally transporting the PCs as well (and maybe part of the city!), they find that the world they bridged to is a world that has been conquered and decimated by the Gnomes.
