This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Wanted to find old campaign website
« on: July 07, 2018, 04:23:29 PM »
Okay, so this is a total long shot, but here goes....

Years ago I remember finding an ADRP campaign website online where the author had ranked attributes of the Elders of Amber by narrative terms like "very good" or "poor" instead of the traditional ladder or by point values. (I don't think it was a FUDGE Amber page, although the terminology might have been similar.)

Anyway, I've been looking for it again and my Google-fu is totally failing me. Anyone familiar with this site? Anyone able to provide a link?

I don't remember that one.

But man, once upon a time in the late 90s it was like there was 100s of campaign websites for Amber.

Yeah, I know. There was a stretch of time in there where I could surf for hours and just read one campaign website after another. Now, finding any ADRP discussion anywhere is hard to do. And so many of the old links lead nowhere. :(

It's one of the problems of the internet. It's got an incalculable mass of human knowledge and records, but it is also very fragile.

I found a few sites and fora. None that seemed to have character rankings like you mention. Did the site have a name?

I remember seeing something like that years ago. Did you ever find it?

A lot of dead links out there these days :(
