Buying Lords of Olympus?

My family just discovered the Percy Jackson books and now have some interest in Greek God role playing. I immediately thought of Lords of Olympus.

I went to the page to buy this and the options shown are:
* digital
* print (color)
* print (b&w)

A couple of questions:

1. I'm torn between the color and b&w version. My ADRP b&w version has always been just fine, but is the color version worth the upgrade? Can someone with the color version "sell me" on the purchase?

2. I seem to recall in a thread somewhere reading that buying a print version also gave me the PDF version, but I don't see this on the webpage. Can anyone confirm this, or am I crazy?

3. Any idea if there will be a sale on this soon? (I think I periodically see Pundit post that the game is on sale for a while.) I'd hate to buy a copy and then find that it went on sale a week later.

I can tell you, everyone I've ever shown both book versions (B&W vs. color) to have been absolutely floored by how beautiful the color version looks.  A few who bought the b&w have expressed regrets at not getting the full color version.

Ultimately I guess it does matter how important art and design are for you; if the answer is that you really really don't give a shit how pretty the book looks, then I suppose that b&w is going to be your choice because they are otherwise the same book.  But if this matters to you at all, the color version is a MUCH much prettier book.

Keep in mind I say this having had nothing to do with the art or design therein. I only did the words.

I have not myself read any Percy Jackson books or seen any movies, by the way, but I've had MANY people who are fans of the series (adult fans, for the most part) tell me that LoI would be very very suitable for playing a Percy Jackson game.

Please do let us know what you think, and particular how you feel it compares with LoGaS (not necessarily in a 'better or worse' sense, but just comparatively speaking with regard to features).

Will do. It's hard to compare them at the moment because I have the hardback (and PDF) for LoGaS and only the PDF for LoO, but when the printed version comes in the mail I can give it a better read.

The initial thought is that the Greek Pantheon from LoO is certainly more familiar to my gaming group than Jason's LoGaS material. On the other hand, LoGaS uses more familiar terminology and I don't have to convert names of attributes in my head.

Both seem to be fine products.
