@jibbajibba: Whilst browsing the moinmoin wiki Title index, I noticed that there is an awful lot of spam/junk there. Is there any chance that it will be cleaned out before we begin? (I ask simply because then it is easier to locate resources for the game)

Yup plan is to reset the wiki and lock out all existing users then remove the self registration tool I am just gathering all the data I want to keep from it, sadly there doesn't seem to be a way to do this systemically.
The following sections need refreshing .
Chaos - got some stuff to add and a few detail on denizens
New family tree  - with associated trumps (technically court cards not major arcana ), archetype names and brief descriptions
History: updated to include PC history snippets and the like
Castle and city : built in line with PC plans though where those are not forthcoming some of the base may well cascade out of what is already there (I will probably keep Charity as a sibling NPC cos I do so like her)
Noble houses: to reflect any PC links to nobility

Then the menuing needs a revisit and the rules of play need an adjust. If I get round to it I will replace the chat client

As Zeus once said 'I have it in my mind to cause the great and glorious seige of troy and with it the Golden Age of heros shall end and the Silver age of ordinary men shall begin'.

So I have lots of updates to make to the site but I can do this in parallel to kicking off the auction process and a lot of the content is written but i have a few techncial issues with my FTP client and the site.

We will start the auction this week.

Before we start I need

The name of each character/player
A brief description /concept this can be as short as a single sentence. 'Arden based woodsman'. 'Chaosite Logrus master with strong links to demons.' 'Political puppetmaster based in Amber'. etc etc

When I have all these I will kick of the auction. I have 3 already

I think we should publish the player/character name (unless there is a strong objection...) The concepts can remain secret and send me a PM.

Once we have it all we can run teh auction loking to do a round every few days.

Elaine (Daughter of Lady Oriana of House Manvar and Oberon Barimen)

A small, slim, quiet lady of refined tastes, the very soul of decorum, and well versed in intrigue and diplomacy. With family and friends Elaine is more relaxed, and much less formal.
She normally wears elegant, full length, black dresses and carries a small winged creature wrapped around her wrist like a bracelet. She also wears a signet ring on the index finger of her right hand.

So far I have6 players lookign for a few more that showed and interest previously even if just in Character creation phase.

I give folks an extra coupel of days and As I say I am happy to have anyone just get involved in character conception and then I will NPC-ize them. With 3 Chaosite the Sanctum is goign to look pretty empty otherwise

So far I think I will be using the following characters as NPCs

Dworkin
Assorted Chaosists - I have fleshed out the family trees of a few and will be postign them up in short order.

Amber Siblings
Charity, The Toast of Amber  - the current castle guide is in her voice I will just be lifting her and dropping her into Spoken Truths.

Reynardine, The Gypsy Vagabond - an unkept, vulgar sensualist Reynardine likes to mock the pilars of Amber and what he refers to as their 'macho fuck-wank egotism'. He meanders through shadow in a caravan normally accompanied by an assortment of freaks, actors, whores and musicians

Dane, the Rebellious Teen - Oberon's youngest was dragged back through shadow with his mother some 20years ago. His mother, Paige, seemed to immune to the effects of Amber's longevity and has been quitely divorced and moved off someplace in Shadow. Dane stuck around. Obnoxious and full of self importance he is looking to carve himself a political niche but that would require him to stop whinging for more than 5 minutes.

I will add other NPCs to flesh out the cast.

@jibbajibba: Just a quick note, from the spoken truths page, the only things that are accessible at the moment are the 'Histories of Amber' and the 'Rules of Engagement'. All other pages give a 404 file not found, and trying to load the wiki gives a number of errors as follows:

Yup i am workign through adding new data. sections will be added as we get more data. I am having a wiki problem which seems ridiculously simple but is proving most tresome to resolve.
The permissionson the new pages folder I posted are 755 and need to be 777. For some reason I am unable to chmod them via FTP. I probably need a new ftp client or raise as a supprot query but time time time

The other bpages are undergoign revisions and will be posted back when I have the full character lists etc.

   a large museum in the city, housing oddities from shadow- skeletons and taxidermy of strange beasts, rooms of artifacts from distant shadows, and a side hall of paintings. Gregory brought a number of items back from his travels in shadow, and put the niftier looking stuff on display. (of course, any prince who decides they found something nifty enough could have it put on display). the mueseum itself is several stories tall, with lots of marble floors and columns. 3 floors of exhibits, storage basement, top floor offices.
   public access to the first two floors, the third floor exhibits are the 'members only' area.

The offical Ambassador for Chaos in Amber is Chaucer of the House of Gola. There has been a permanent ambassador here since the time of Oriana. The east wing of Castle Amber, one of the oldest sections, is now used as the diplomatic quarters of the Courts of Chaos.
In the center of the east wing is a small courtyard with a series of pools, joined by a small waterway that constantly supplies fresh flowing water to each of the pools. Aged willows spread their boughs giving shade over the garden and it is here you will often uncover the machinations of various Chaosite diplomats and other delegates.
Around the courtyard, the ground floor rooms open directly onto this tranquil visage and the balconies of the upper floors overlook it. These rooms are held for visiting Chaos digitaries.
In addition to these quarters there is also a large compound located on the far eastern edge of the harbour wall that houses a large villa that is the offical Embassy of the Fractal Throne (as the court of the king of chaos is sometimes refered to ). It is here that Chaucer resides although he maintains a suite of rooms in the castle as well.

Excellent. The museum has developed something of a shadier reputation as the statuary garden to the rear has become a favoured site for duels and many a minor Pollandine noble has spilled his blood there for defense of some percieved slight.

By way of more background for the rest of you The Git and I have been mates for 30 years but luckily for us he moved to Canada and promised to leave us alone.

Details on this thread. The wiki issue was fixed last night but I unfixed it to avoid the wiki spam I was inundated with last time round. But will all get sorted once I apply some spam filters and lock out the user creation page. Oh just so you know I will be locking down the whole wiki and giving each user an account/password and a structured homepage.

GIT - need a character name and a concept we will start the auction next week.
