This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I'm thinking of a Magic Cloak, it can shape change to suit the world and when "Closed" serves as basic armor, but it can "Open" out to a set of Wings that give me Flight. using LoO it comes out to around 3-5 pts (depending on GM's interpretation and mercy), but if we build it as an Amber Artifact it costs 10 points.

I also want a Sword that will bump me a Prowess & Damage class I think it will come back 5-10 points.

What would 5-10 points in Prowess and/or Might get you?

Sweet FA (just a estimate since we are all keeping our stats secret) First is around 30, 2nd is tied at around 20 that's for either everyone else (including me) is rocking Olympian class.

12 + ? = pretty close to 20? A couple of points of Bad Stuff to make things exciting for a while?

Devian may be the "King of Good Luck" but I want to hang on to some as part of my stitch, and even if I go to 20ish in either Prowess or Might the 2nds will still own me in a fight since they are tied for 2nds in both Might and Prowess and 2nds and 3rds in Fortitude. those players have bean scrambling for powers since start of play and may now be getting ready to challenge First in a stat or two.

not that we've ever had a party fight, but the GM may be getting ready to engineer one for the next arc and it looks live he's going for "Stat Envy" as the trigger. ATM I'm a threat to no one but because of that I'm starting to pull my own weight when things get bloody.

ATM a close nit party (hell we sunck in to the underworld to spring our dead mortal party members) I think for the arc after the one we've just started the GM wants to cause some factional drama and is laying the ground work. apart from keeping the multi-verse up and running our goals, interests and spheres of influence are separate but complementary.

the other non-combat monsters have a few tricks to help out when we "Go to the Sword", but me not so much, but I want to pick up a few new tricks so I'm not overusing my Seer abilities and make it old hat.

I'm thinking a Combat Artifact and a bunch of points for a new Power

I'd like Ineffable names, but can only think of four I really want (Aub, Eoud, Ioz & Amara), I'm thinking of perhaps Summonsing or Conjuration, but either would be a bigger investment than I can pull off ATM and kind of crossover too much with either Olympian Magic or Elementlism.

Perhaps as an obscure Apollo reference something to do with Mice.

I assume your GM is using the "wish list" method of advancement? Or no?

Wish List but it's a guide not a commitment, and I've run through my Wish List any way.

Hmm... that's not really a standard usage then.

Frankly I've hit a wall, I've got everything I planed for when I first started through to Phase Three of character development and that's as far as I planed thinking the campaign would give me ideas, but my Awesomeness and that of my companions has surfaced and answered almost every challenge we've meet.

It seems to me that maybe your GM hasn't been doing things quite right?  Too monty haul? Not challenging enough?

The first mistake was having you all working together as a team; Olympians are very powerful if there's a group of them who are tight...

Unlike Amber I had a very specific goal, around 30 is points worth of development, I'm now at 150 points that has taken me around a year to accumulate. my development has mated up well with the other characters and the campaign.

I've bean gaming with some of these folks (including the GM) for a quarter century, at times it's like we are "Shearing the Brain Cell" as the old saying goes.
