This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

[LoO] Athena as an Ancestor

With a bit on mental gymnastics it is possible to have Athena as an Ancestor, by way of Erichthonius. when she wiped away some of Hephaestus
"Stuff" perhaps it absorbed some of her divine essence. the character would have to be a Hero unless they had other divine heritage, but they can also claim Hephaestus as a Patriarch and Gaia as a surrogate Matriarch.

[Does a little homework on Erichthonius...]  I would put that as sketchy source of divinity.  But, some articles list her as a patron for Erichthonius and I could see a child coming from that relationship.

Well till Mortals looked in the Box she was going to rise him as her full and true Son, so he must have got part of her divine essence mixed in there, He was a "Mortal" King but his descendants can claim Divine Heritage from potentially three Sources, and unless they had a closer Divine Ancestor they would be "Heroes" not Gods.
