Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: CroakerI just hope that erick will be able to enjoy the affection of his family and friends, just as they'll cherish their moments with him.
And I wish them all a lot of strength in this harship.
I couldn't say it any better, so allow me to piggyback on this sentiment.

I don't know Erick, certainly not at all outside of a gaming context, but everything I know about him directly or indirectly speaks to a true professional, a man who loves gaming in the abstract, gaming in the moment, gamers, game designers, and future gamers/designers. And who acted on it.

(Edited to correct a missing word.)

Man, I can't believe I forgot this!

I have somewhere tucked away, an honest for goodness letter from Erick, printed up on a dot matrix printer.  I was about fourteen or fifteen years old, my sister had died just a year or two prior to that and I was head deep in escaping into fantasy, sci-fi and RPG's.  Palladium was one of the top dogs in the industry and TMNT was one of my utmost faves.

I wrote Erick a piece of fan mail, along with some teenaged advice about what I wan't Erick to work on next -- I forgot what I asked for exactly but I distinctly remember asking for a cartooned-up version of TMNT (Who Framed Roger Rabbit being my most favoritest movie ever at the time; and not knowing that TOON had either already or soon will exist).  He shortly wrote back stating that a lot of my wants will be dealt with in the upcoming Transdimensional TMNT but he wasn't sure if he'll ever get to TMNT in Toontown.

I decided to forgive him for that latter transgression ;) and declare then and there that Erick can do no wrong in my book and he'll have a fan in me forever.  None of that has changed one iota.

Thanks, Erick!

You're welcome.

I think we pretty much all share the same feelings, anyway :(

Imperator

Sad news. Best wishes to Mr. Wujcik from here.
My name is Ramón Nogueras. Running now Vampire: the Masquerade (Giovanni Chronicles IV for just 3 players), and itching to resume my Call of Cthulhu campaign (The Sense of the Sleight-of-Hand Man).

Uncle Twitchy

Wow. Just... wow.

So sorry to hear this, Erick -- my thoughts and positive energy are headed in your direction.

Mcrow

Sorry to here about this.:(

Erick, though I never met you I'd like you to know that your gaming products were among the first I purchased as teen. Some of them were directly responsible for me continuing this hobby that has given me so much entertainment and improved my life by having a creative outlet. Without your work, I may not have stuck with the hobby and/or may not have had the same experience.

Thanks, Erick.

I hope things go as well as they possible for you and your family.

Trevelyan

TMNT was my first and Amber remains one of my favourites.

Best wishes Erick, and many thanks for so much fun over so many years.
