This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Thanks guys, at this point I'm considering looking into organizing an Arizona AmberCon... I'm gonna ponder on it and see what I can come up with.
Running:
Dungeon Crawl Classics (influences: Elric vs. Mythos, Darkest Dungeon, Castlevania).
DCC In Space!
Star Wars with homemade ruleset (Roll&Keep type system).

An Arizona one? Neat!

Remember, you don't have to have a huge number of people to run an Ambercon.  If you have six people, and each one agrees to run a game for the other five for a four-hour slot, then you've got enough Amber to fill a weekend.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I envision the first AmberCon Arizona (will need to come up with a better name later) to be. A small attendance to start with and see how many would actually be interested in attending.

Arizona has seen a lot of anime/comics/gaming cons happen over the past few years and I've been attending/involved in a few of those. The next step will be contacting past ambercon organizers.

I've been to Ambercon Uk just about every year since it started. It's always been pretty much the only Con I attend. Numbers have dwindled to about half of the original attendance levels (down to about 60-70 now). A new version of ADRPG might boost the numbers again.

Erick attended one of the early AmberconUK (I think the second one). That was where I got him to sign my copy of the rulebook. Unfortunately, I wasn't lucky enough to get into one of his game sessions.

Sadly I will be unable to attend I have found out I have a Murder Mystery job that weekend and so I am booked up.

I've gotten some responses from AmberCon organizers... Very helpful stuff. I think I'll start hunting for a location when I have some spare time.

If anyone lives in the Phoenix valley and wants to get involved, let me know please!
