What makes it Dark Fantasy?

Do you have an Actual Play writeup where we can see the system in action.

If anyone has played this, I'd like to hear thoughts about the game!

Hello Spinachcat,
The game's dark fantasy theme isn't associated with horror by the way. That's a frequent question I receive.
It's a mythological high fantasy universe in a darker perspective.
I tend to be a bit reserved about the system for the following reason. I don't want anyone to copy it and pass it as their own, sense it's the heart of the game every single action you take is pretty much tied to the system in a way or another. I've been criticized for taking such stance in the past and I can totally understand why. However, it's a decision I feel it's necessary now in the early stages of the game.

What makes this game "best-selling" ??

Who is the "everyone" talking about this game?

Who are you issuing DMCA takedown notices to, and why?  (This one matters A LOT.)

FelixGamingX1

Hello Kythri,
The game is a best seller according to DTRPG. Best seller tiers vary, the game is currently on its path to gold.

Everyone means players and critics.

DMCA takedown notices are a private matter. There's no need to point out names or shame any sources as the point is to reach an agreement to remove infringing material in the friendliest way possible.

OK, so, DTRPG Silver status.

Well, the "why" as to DMCA takedown notices is the more important than the who, I suppose.  Are these because someone is wholesale pirating and offering the product, or is this something more nefarious?  The fact that a publisher who has sold under 250 copies of their RPG via DTRPG has a blurb about DMCA takedown notices leads me to assume an overly litigious publisher.  If there's no need to discuss, then there's no need to have said blurb on website.

So, I'll ask again:  Why are DMCA takedown notices being sent to people?

A bit of Googling indicates that you threatened copyright litigation for someone publishing an adventure for your game and some ridiculous responses to criticism.

Prove me wrong.

FelixGamingX1

Hi Kythri,

DMCA stands for digital copyright millennium act
While I won't explain that in detail here, feel free to do some research of your own.

It's important to understand not all publishers act in the same way.
The word here would be deterrent, more than anything else.

Publishers such as WoTC allow for fan content to be sold under the OGL. K&L doesn't. To sell content for the game, first you'd need to purchase the non-exclusive license. Or you could distribute it for free. Whether the game will ever be available under OGL terms remains to be seen. However, there are no plans for it in sight.

So, you're skirting why you issued the notices.  I'd like a specific example of why you issued a notice, because, quite frankly, your assertions above are inaccurate.

FelixGamingX1

Hello, Kythri

I can understand the topic raises questions, but all private matters must be respected.
I'll try to simplify it this way, for as long as you're not pirating, stealing or misusing. Then it's likely there's no cause for concern.

I'll just leave these here:

https://rpggeek.com/thread/2107764/brain-suckingly-fantastically-amazingly-bad

https://www.rpgnow.com/browse/pub/14045/Nights-of-Lejend

Our friend the creator has been suspended from Reddit (EquisDigitalStudio) for self-promotion, alt-accounts (TabletopRpgFan) and other general ass-hattery.  He also has issues respecting copyright, it seems.

Shilling on Reddit, pretending to be a customer:

Other fun information:

So, yeah, I'll take a hard pass on a shitty person shilling a shitty game and who abuses the DMCA takedown process (false notices are illegal).

Hello Kythri,
I'm well aware you're a common harasser on reddit.
Pursuing libel against my product or person won't change the fact it's a best seller.
Have a good day now.

Yeah, my whole 20 comments on Reddit make me a harasser.  :|

I've not posted on Reddit in any way related to your horseshit, so try again - and look up libel in the dictionary while you're at it.

Pretty sure sockpuppetry is a bannable offense here, so you should know that before you start up your past antics, Julio.

Hello Kythri,
You seem to have a personal issue. Shame on me if I kept replying to you and your unfounded attacks. I believe you’ve already said what you had to say. While you're entitled to have your own opinion, it doesn't mean what you think is true is actuality. People will always speculate things. It turns out things are looking great on my end, I'm fully committed to the buyers of the game, and I love my supporters. I can't please everyone, and I'm ok with that.
