This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

My review of the #lotfp adventure "The Punchline", with its Renaissance-style insane clown posse and a deadly plague. But does it manage to overcome its cliches?

Good point regarding the timer/clock for what is going on.

I've definitely seen more than 1 scenario that could use more sense of time, and the criticisms that come from GMs that skip too quickly or go too slowly through some sections of a pre-written adventure.

(And then they say, "Well, this didn't make sense"... which, in some cases, is the GM's fault for not pacing it properly. Do your homework, read the adventure, and reconstruct everything so that it makes sense before you run it. This is also the game designer's fault when they don't add more cues about pacing.)
