This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

My "Is It Awesome?" video review of the Testament is posted below so as not to appear on the homepage

I have a PDF copy and certainly plan on getting a physical print version of the Testament in the near future.

I think the potential of this background, myth and context included, is enormous at a game table. Much like the OWoD Book of Nod was a huge inspiration, and had tremendous impact on our by Nights, PCs, NPCs, coteries backgrounds, tenets and the like, millennia-old conspiracies and so on, I can see an extremely bright future for this supplement at my game table.

I was not so impressed with Rites of the Dragon, which did include some good bits for sure, but generally lacked the ambiance and depth necessary for it to be truly stellar, with a few glaring mistakes that still make me cringe to this day (like the name Lisette, which totally sucks ass for a French like myself). Rites could have been formidable, better than the Book of Nod maybe, but it just ended up being merely alright with some bits of awesomeness in the end.

So for me Rites = 6/10
Testament = 8, or even 9/10.

That's why it confused me that Rites got it's release first. Rites is a secret document. The Lancea actively print and distribute the Testament as widely as they can.

BTW, I've been consistently impressed with Wood Ingham's work, to the point that now I look at the credits of this or that supplement and if I see him as one of the main writers, that's a huge plus towards me buying said product in the end. He's a really sharp dude, and does his homework before he writes. Nice fellow to interact with as well (he was posting on Shadow N Essence some few years ago).

Yeah he said a friend of mine's Promethean was the "BEST CHARACTER EVER"

I mean he was just an Osiran bog mummy called Pete Marsh!
