This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Thanks for the review, hoss!

FYI, many are the times I wanted to roll on some kind of morale or reaction table, but didn't have that extra book with me.  So, now the GM has those tables right there in the book he's using to run the campaign world + adventures.  And I didn't want to just copy what had already been done, so I put a fresh coat of paint on it.

But... the B/X Morale/reaction mechanic is so simple it doesn't actually require a table.

I've never actually thought of it that way, but you're right!

Weird... I don't remember writing that, just like I can't believe I agreed with the sentiment.

For one thing, nothing is required.  So, that's like saying, "Yeah, but you forgot to write down that we need oxygen to breathe while we're playing."  Duh!  For another, random tables make things easier for the GM.  That's a big part of my job.  How do I make things easier for a GM I've never met before?  Make things easier for myself, and hope concepts can be extrapolated.

As long as I'm here... #3!  Why hasn't anyone else reviewed Cha'alt: Fuchsia Malaise on here?  It was the biggest OSR book to come out in 2020.  That was TWO YEARS AGO!!!  Ridiculous.
