Does the reviewer honestly believe that beauty and sexual attraction is either an alien or repugnant concept to all but men in their 30's and 40's?
Possibly because you didn't mention also describing hot man meat.
If you revisit the book in the future to add new material, you might want to add something for people who want some Prince Charming action in their RPGs.
One of the things I do is have players explain their Charisma. Why do they have the +1 or -1? Are they beautiful, but aloof? Are they plain, maybe even scraggly, but fun to be around? Are tall and regal, looking as others picture a king or queen, even if they have no noble blood? I do this for all my important NPCs that PCs will interact with too.
I find few GMs describe beauty in their games, regardless if the beauty is an aspect of NPCs or an aspect of the scenery.
Also, I find most NPCs are sexless which doesn't help bring the world to life. PCs are often bad boys & bad girls who flaunt society and the law. That's gonna get lots of NPCs interested in them...setting off sexual jealousies among others...
That's why I like Slaanesh in Warhammer - I get to explore horror and danger through lovely joys of the senses. I ran an encounter with some Slaanesh Daemonettes chopping up some villages and describing how the villagers threw themselves upon the gorgeous demons because it felt so good to be chopped up by them. When the PCs engaged in combat, whenever they took a hit, I described how happy, joyful and aroused they were by taking the wounds. And when a Daemonette bleeds you, the arterial sprays always create art.
And I got pit ticket for Mayhem! Woot!
