This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I've always disliked the "Monk" class, both from a mechanics perspective and from a flavor perspective. Most of D&D fits a fairly generic setting grounded in European myth and Sword & Sorcery stories, and then out of the blue we get ... Hong Kong Kung Fu inspired characters?

It's always been weird & annoying having a common word like "Monk" being repurposed into meaning, "Superman-like setting-inappropriate unarmed martial artist." I expect this kind of class in Rokugan, or whatever, not D&D's default/implied setting.

If you want a grounded European appropriate setting then just have Fighters and Thieves.

Some of those people can wear dresses and pretend to cast spells.

Done.
At some point, you can add Clerics. They might stretch those last folks on the rack to obtain confessions.

Why then did we support the Soviet Union while fighting Nazi Germany? Patton wanted to let the two fight, we'd finish off the winner. That would have averted a lot of suffering later on- the only reason those wonderful communist Soviets didn't immediately overrun post-WW2 Europe was because of the threat of American nuclear weapons.

A: Because the germans had already conquered france and where bombing england. You can rightfully shit on the Soviet Union, but 3 of my great granfathers died in that war just defending their families. The SU had the manpower and the people disposable enough to deal a ton of damage to the Germans.

The germans planned genocide of slavic peoples as well. They just planned to do it with mass starvation instead of camps.

Right or wrong, I owe my existence and the existence of hundreds of people that I know from support from the USA during WWII.

Not sure what a "nu-vagina" is, but you seem to know an awful lot about them. Good for you, I guess? Still not making a lot of sense, so, uh, if you're experiencing a medical emergency, might I suggest that you hang up and dial 9-1-1?

Oh, and don't be such a tryhard.

Dunno what any of that means. Or half your last post, either. You having a stroke, or are you an ESL student?

The joke is that the place is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed" which is clever in itself and quite funny to those with a mature sense of humour but what's really just hilarious about it is that if you look closely at the front of this store, Sneed's Feed & Seed, you can see a line that reads "Formerly Chuck's". Now, this might go over the average viewer's head as this, THIS, is peak comedy. I doubt anything will ever be as funny as the joke about Sneed's Feed & Seed. Are you ready for this one? So, like I said, the place is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed" and this sign says "Formerly Chuck's", which means that when Chuck owned the place, well, I don't have to tell you...

Media and Inspiration / Re: The Movie Thread Reloaded
« Last post by Mind Crime on Today at 06:36:15 PM »
I've been on an 80's kick, hunting down movies I haven't seen in decades. Recently watched "My Science Project" and "The Ice Pirates". The robots in that were fantastic, funnier than the actors most times.. "The Party Animal" for pure juvenile comedy. And one of my all time favorites "Night Patrol". Dumb offensive comedy. Maybe Pat Morita's finest performance.  :D
Ahahaha, 'My Science Project' was such a weird little gem. I enjoyed the hell out of it as a kid.

"Sherman, what's he sayin'?"
"...He's going to kick our ass."

So many fun unknown movies like this. One reason I lurk threads like these, find those gems I haven't seen or barely remember.

Yes! I don't make it incurable though.  You just need to find a powerful healer to do a more potent form of cure disease--that probably needs some specific monster parts used in a ritual to work.

Harvesting monster parts is kind of like buying all your goods at the company store and living in company housing while you work at the mill.  You get on that merry go round, hard to get off.

I encourage people here, particularly those aren't using social media, to watch and observe this video demonstrating how the Woke religion uses the "Gender" lie & social media to create psychic contagions that cause children to damage their own minds & bodies. This is particularly prevalent among young girls.

Hi, Zelen. That link didn't work for me. Do you have a different source for the content?
