This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

We literally have statements by Pisaki and other that they will pay. And given how they've progressively tightened the screws far beyond their original claims on nearly everything, it requires a staggering level of naivety to dismiss the concern.

Reporter: Do you think the COVID vaccine should be mandatory?

Biden: No, I don't think it should be mandatory. I wouldn't demand it to be mandatory.

Pisaki is mistaken or lying then. Does that possibly really shock you? Very likely just trying to scare people into getting the vaccine because they're ignorant that the testing is free. Congress passed that law - TWICE in fact. It can be lifted by lifting the emergency declaration but given the vaccine mandate requires the emergency declaration I don't see how that would work.

Pat have you never been tested? Were you not aware you can get them for free?
I've been tested several times. I'm quite aware that the tests have been free. Probably far more so than you, because I've actually called around to verify that for people who do not have health insurance (who exist, despite your denial).

Stop being a patronizing, dishonest scumbag. That's not what this discussion is about. You're just trying to reframe it that way in a pathetic attempt to score points.

The current administration has repeatedly promised that everything would be optional, and then went back on their word at the slightest excuse, whether it was a minor surge, a new variant, or whatever other reason they could conjure. They've done everything they can to coerce, threaten, or just outright hurt anyone who disagrees with their totalitarian dictates. They occasionally back down when there's too much public pressure, but keep edging forward again. One step back, two jack boots goose-stepping forward. They've repeatedly defied court rulings to do so, and they control both houses of Congress. What deluded world do you live in where you think they won't use the cost of the tests as a weapon to force compliance? It's the most parsimonious outcome, and we need to speak out loudly and forcefully against if it we're going to have any chance of stopping it.

That seems very dismissive to me.

Yup. While forgeworld may have pissed in the grognards cornflakes, they remain upset about it YEARS later.

And in terms of GMs story, I find the Pundits advice to be almost completly centered on pure GM satisfaction.

We played a lot of Fudge for a couple years. The iteration of Spirit of the Century was a helpful "kit" example with loads of modifications and advice from the mechanical framework of FUDGE. IMO the shift to FATE messed up a lot of what we liked in the raw system... (it sort of, well, pigeon holed stuff, though Strands of Fate seemed to push things back in the FUDGE direction). I think the new Princess Bride RPG is a FUDGE game. I haven't got it yet...

Had some great moments on a few persistent world servers. The ones that had active DMs were the most memorable. You could be going through a bunch of crypts when a DM would suddenly decide to spawn a talking spirit in your path, giving you a mini quest that wasn't in the scripts at all.

Now that we're talking about it, I have the urge to reinstall it lol

Is FUDGE actually fun to play? I never see anyone play it.

Soo, for my Planetary Romance game, should I make up totally new measure units? What about money? I don't think Gold Pieces sound very Venusian if you ask me.

Ditto for the measurements. Of course it could mainly be just renamed units to take advantage of familiarity but still.

Thus far:
Funnie = Copper Coin
Granni = Silver Coin
Tari = Gold Coin
Oncia = Platinum Coin

Bit = Inch
Palm = 1/2Foot
Pace = Yard
Passum = Mile

Almud = Pint
Adarme = Pound
-o-
Cot = Inch
Palme = 1/2Foot
Picior = Foot
Pasm = Yard
Passum = Mile

Area
Fere
Falce = 1 Passum Sqr

Oca = Pint
Potte = 1/2 Banita
Banita = Quarter
Kwarter – Quarter
Obroc = 22 Banita
Mare = 2 Obroc, 44 Banita
Merta = 120 Banita

Dram = Ounce
Font = Pound
Gium = 1,000 Font
Hadra = 2,000 Font

They also have a close working relationship with Stellagama, which is in the green.

Feel free to trawl through the usual leftist echo chambers and review how they talk about Joseph Rosenbaum.

Or contemplate how they continue to idolize Roman Polanski.

From my experience Woke SJW commies were for Polanski blood. It was older progressive liberals/moderate socialdemocrates with highly elitist streat that were defending him.

While not condoning him, I think that having his wife and unborn kid stabulated by a bunch of cultist psychos probably helped along Polanski's baser urges, which seems a bit different than the  "Wut? Wut's the problem?!?!" way in which the current crop of pedos are trying to normalize criminally deviant behavior.
That was a theory I had as well, actually.

Doesn't excuse it, but it wouldn't surprise me if he turned into a nihilist of sorts after Sharon Tate's death. Reading Bugliosi's Helter Skelter, it's strongly indicated that Tate was having a stabilizing effect on his personality, slowly shifting him away from the 'Hollywood' lifestyle into something a little more presentable. To have that yanked away so savagely would've been disastrous.
