This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Zozer Games is pretty anti-woke. The only caveat I can add is that they are primarily a business and not interested in sending a political message.

I use meters to measure distance, as the Speed stat measures how many meters per second you can go. This leads to some weird things if you have a certain number of actions per round; characters with more actions can move less distance per action, as how many meters per action you can move is equal to your Speed divided by your actions per round. I've found this works really well with the type of game I'm trying to make.

By the way, good news. The new variant, Omicron or whatever it's called, may present with mild symptoms including so far no known loss of taste and smell. Most common symptoms with this strain appear to be rapid heart beat, a fever, both of which seem to go away in a few days.

It's the natural evolution of a virus to become more contagious, but less lethal. Just as Delta was less severe than Alpha, so Omicron is less severe again than Delta.

Even less reason to risk an adverse reaction with an experimental therapeutic treatment.

As for the "rapid heart beat" - bollocks. That's them trying to sweep the "mysterious" cardiac side effects of the jabs under the carpet.

Naw the rapid heart beat was detected in unvaccinated kids in South Africa. But you go on with your batshit conspiracy theories.

The mandate hasn't been imposed yet. They literally just published the wording, and the implementation of the mandate is being held up in the courts. Of course there are no examples yet, because it doesn't exist yet. But we can draw some conclusions, based on what we currently know. The conclusions I drew were the obvious, clear, and clearly intended results. After all, we have unambiguous statements by people like Jen Pisaki saying will be cheaper for people to take the free jab than to pay for all the tests, and that yes, people will have to pay for their own tests. Their stated plan is to economically bully poor people into taking the jab, because they simply can't afford the alternative.

Mistwell, since you've turned into a creepy stalker, you've lost what few vestiges of sense you might have once possessed. This is completely irrational, even ignoring all the random things you're making up about me.

Of course it exists. It's just being done in locals right now, rather than federal. But we have mandates in the US and can see how they are working and being implemented, using the verbiage of the federal mandate as their models. LA has one right now. You don't need to pay for tests.

They are being subsidized by the Government. It's under a law called the The Families First and Coronavirus Relief Act (FFCRA), as amended by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. "Testing for the detection of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19...shall be free to the patient, so long as the federally-declared public health emergency is in effect. This protection applies to virtually every form of health coverage, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance (other than some forms of coverage, such as short-term plans, that are exempt from much insurance regulation). Federal law also establishes a fund that will pay for tests delivered to uninsured patients if a provider chooses to seek reimbursement."

Your tax dollars are already paying for them. Which has its own issues of course, but it's not making anyone broke to be taking weekly tests.

Now if they change the subsidies to match the intent you claim they have, then you will have a point. I know of no proposed bills to remove the subsidies. Do you?

If I had a dollar for every loudmouth in a bar who threatened grievous bodily harm or death, before, during or after a fight, I'd have as much money as the guy who wrote Zweihander.
You give a pass about comments in a bar fight because people always talk crap and don't mean which is reasonable. Then you argue endlessly over a point on a message board as if everything ever said on a message board is deep and heartfelt. Are you new to message boards in general? Over the top comments are the fuel that keeps the whole thing going.
He's new to a lot of things, including rational thought and threat assessment.

I've never been so oblivious as to be caught unawares by an attack from behind in a bar, so my threat assessment is at least better than The Quarterpoundering's.

For those of you who are terminally uninformed, Nadia Murad is a Yazidi woman who was kidnapped into sex slavery by ISIS.

One more example of wokeists being quite comfortable with sex trafficking and rape. Whodathunk it?

I don't think they're "comfortable" with it. That's the kind of thinking that led us into this hopeless divisiveness. I just think that "Muslims doing bad" causes an cognitive error and near-shutdown of their brains.

Any opinions of Zozer Games? They mostly stick around the Cepheus OGL sphere. Their setting Hostile looks pretty good from what I've seen. Might be a solid non-woke alternative to Mothership if you want sci-fi horror.

Will share more once I give it a read though, kinda hit my spending limit this paycheck already.

Can't comment on their public stance on anything. I haven't seen anything woke in their product, which is excellent overall. IMO, Hostile is a better Aliens than any of the licensed Aliens games, current and past.

That's good to hear, heard it was really good!
