This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Nova did not realize but Gamora talked to the bookie and told him he was taking the place of Nova in her fight. Mother would never forgive if she let Nova get hurt. Once they cleared away the bits of the other guy Gamora was standing waiting at the gate. As soon as the metallic click of the lock slid back Gamora slipped in then shut it again.

Gamora did not look back when Nova called out to her. There would be time to explain later. She waited in the ring for whom ever they had matched her with.

She was ready for this, this is what she needed. Nothing like a gratuitous amount of violence to make up for a shitty day.

Gamora responds, "you know I have Bookie, you yourself have paid your fair share of credits to my account."

It is illegal for the fighters to bet on themselves, but some times the Bookie looks the other way if you send a few credits his way.

Gamora is slightly put off that there are people in the arena so she can not get a practice in. But then what better practice then the real thing. So she signs up to be part of the next fight. This way she can get some practice in and win some credits. No doubt that she won't win. These Gasser's have nothing on her. She has been practicing for this since she was old enough to walk. Martin had her and Nova doing routines and floor work since he came into their lives.

Gamora would not find out who she was fighting until they were both in the ring. The "club" liked to keep the suspense that way so no one got over confident. So she watched the female Gasser with the pistol dominate the floor as she awaited her turn...

Out of respect for Mother, Gamora just nods and says yes ma'am.

There is no way Gamora was going to mine H7 though.

She grabs Nova by the hand and leaves Pallas of Delights to go work out her anger that just bubbled up.

Gamora shot a look back to Nova. " he's a fool if he thinks he can draw a side arm faster than I can bring a blade to his demise. I'm going to the arena, if you want to talk you'll have to come train."

I walked away, knowing Nova would follow. Not because she wanted to train, but know that was the only way she was going to talk to me.

Gamora slides the great sword back into its sheath, where it rests comfortably on her back. She is slightly disappointed, she would have very much so liked to cut that gaser's hand off. Gaser, being what she calls the folk that mine the H7 gas that is ever so popular on this rotten planet they call home.

She looks at Martin, gives him the cheeky smile she has been practicing. Nova tells her that if she wants to get any where in life, she is going to have to work on her charm.

The only place she wants to get in life is off this world and out to explorer some where that does not revolve around H7 and the disgusting men that visit Mother's establishment.

Sick of this fool coming into mothers business. He will learn once and for all. I take out my great sword,
"your money or your hand, fool. We will no longer hand out charity."
