This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I got it like 2 months ago and it's still sitting on my hard drive. I forgot I had it, I might try it when I get home.

I'd say it's more of an RPG with adventure game elements. It's very funny though and definitely worth checking out.

I also recommend Psychonauts (currently available on X-Box Live arcade or used on PS2 and Xbox). It's written developed by the same guy who made Grim Fandango, but is a puzzle/platformer with adventure game elements.

Completely agreed, I forgot about Psychonauts, great game. Make sure to play it with a gamepad though, it makes it easier.

I got it about 3 weeks ago and still haven't played it (no time). I did see the beginning at a friend's house and it looked quite promising.

The Longest Journey (2000) and its sequel Dreamfall (2006) are both amazing in different ways.
Syberia (2001) another adventure masterpiece.
The new Sherlock Holmes games developed by Frogwares are quite good, in special The Awakened, this ones uses Cthulhu Mythos as an essential piece of the plot.
I agree with the guys above, Grim Fandango is one of the best games ever made.
The more recent ones you would probably enjoy are: Overclocked a history of violence; The Experiment, Dracula Origin.

Would you vote for Dirk Nowitzki if he ran for president?

Guild Wars has both PvE and PvP.  In fact if you just wanted to PvP, you can start with a max level character and do that (without the leveling up part).  I never did get the expansions, so can't comment there.  It's pretty, has some nice cut scenes, but overall, it didn't grab me.  I gave my copy away, or I'd give you mine...  YMMV  Good luck!

If you dont want it can I please, please have your account? I've been wanting to try GW for quite a long time now.
