This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Considering that post includes a link to an ad I would say it's a bot.

I have not. But that setting looks to be right up my alley.

I am of the opinion that the users that clamor for karma aren't the types of people that make communities good. They just go for the mass-appeal, low hanging fruit comments that tend to garner lots of upvotes for a silly score that doesn't matter at all.

This change would just inflate the perceived "value", and just give one more thing to the people who already chase those numbers. It'll just, in my belief, increase the number of posts that are fishing for awards and upvotes.

I can't tell if you are joking or if you actually think that this thread is about Reddit karma.

Make Halloween Samhain agai! Lol

BTW we will be using Discord for Voice chat and the game is meant to be played fortnightly at 7:30 PM CT on Fridays. Also if it's not okay to post this in this particular forum, I would like to apologize.

Howdy everyone. I hope to run a Cha'alt game using DCC and was wondering if any you folks would like to join it. If you do please join the game here.

Setting overview-

Imagine the future. It is the year 2687 and life is perfect. Peace has reigned for the past 240 years. Colonization of the galaxy was ongoing. Humanity was practically ageless, had cured cancer, dementia, alzheimer's and thousands of other diseases and congenital defects. However even in this golden age of Humanity there was a festering darkness growing over the past millennia. And as the darkness grew, it began to corrupt humanity. The darkest acts were perpetrated in the name of evil daemonic gods. As the evil spread through human space society broke down and the collapse of civilization began. Then 20 years of slow collapse led to an apocalyptic event that wiped out 95% of life through Human Space. Terra with it's population of core world and colony world refugees suffered a madness that caused the psychic humans to lash out and destroy Terra. It is now 3,000 years later. Life has only started recovering into a Medieval tech level. The Kingdom of Texas rules the land with a firm grip and is pushing out into the Daemonic Hinterlands to the north and west. To the east lay the barbaric Tribal Confederation of Ameriga. To the south lies the Cult of Blood and clashes between Texas Rangers has been ongoing. And to the northwest lies the Technocracy of Latter Day Saints. The rest of life on the continent is unexplored and efforts to uncover the dangerous bases of Ancient Man have almost always ended in death.

Next Post - The Particulars of The Kingdom of Texas.

When I saw the beginning of the first episode of Lovecraft Country I noticed how the main characters father somehow knew that Lovecraft wrote that horrifically racist essay. But the problem with that is that almost no one knew about Lovecraft in the 1930s or 40s. Only his tight knit group of friends and associates knew his awesome books. Anyways I am not pleased with the constant shitting on Lovecraft and his work. I mean yes he was a Racist, but honestly so was everyone else in his era. So in summary, The SJWs need to realized that some of them will be considered horribly offensive in 50 years.

Guys. Death Stranding is awesome. I really love the detail and all of the people that Sam meets along the way. Helping people rebuild after an apocalypse is fun. Plus add in Kojima's silly stuff and you get probably one of my favorite games.

My hopes for Colonial Gothic died the day I found out it was being published by Daniel D. Fox. Why can't people just leave games games. I don't want a political message in a game unless it's a clever allegory.

Also if anyone is interested in a Gangbusters B/X game let me know and I will whip something up.

I hope to run Actual Fucking Monsters on Halloween. The only problem is I have but one player interested.

I may not like Trump at all, but calling him a Nazi is fucking insane.

It is the the early 13th century and all is not well in England. The people of England have not been well and not been well for a long time. Ever since the Normans conquered England the spirit of England has been ill at ease, and the spirit of the people, broken. And unto this dark time an unlikely band of outlaws would strike back at the injustices and fight for the common good. Who these men and women would be is unknown. Not even The Dagda nor Odin nor The Lord above, knows what the loom of fate foretells.

Howdy everyone. I am looking for players to play a game of Darkwood. If you are interested let me know. I just got this book in print on Monday and I hope to bring more eyes onto this cool game.
