This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Something quick and simple off the top of my head. Any such actual game version would work differently apart from the rating scale.

Mortal: 1-4
Heroic: 5-9
Olympian: 10-15
Numbered: 16+

Ego = Insight
Average of Prowess and Might = Fitness
Fortitude = Toughness

Treat powers as powers, given a rating equal to the corresponding ability.

I’m thinking about creating a dice version when my time frees up from other projects. Probably using the Supergame 3E mechanics. You could probably combine the two yourself.

Part 4 in my new Forgotten Games series on my blog.

We're no longer on vbulletin, as it is no longer compatible with newer versions of PHP, unless we move up to vb5 (and that sucks). The new board has the same RSS support, but getting it to work needed a bit of a nudge, a smidgen of customization, and a deep dive into the code to find the right settings.

Try it now with the new links from the icons.

Should be working now. Set to show 20 items.

This is a bit problematic due to some settings. I’ll have to work up a fix.

8
Still there, but options need to be tweaked. I'll see what I can do when I get a chance.

How about the other software was no longer going to be compatible with our server and this was the best option.

Adding new themes is unreliable with custom modifications. I can't just use something off the shelf, because they typically break very easily. That means I have to take the existing theme and redo the CSS for it. I can do it, but I don't have the time right now. I may attempt it at some future point.

Sorry. Dark theme is problematic.

I like High Fantasy, but never played it. Not sure how the system holds up.

I was going to mention a seventh game in Part 2 of the Forgotten Games series, but the timing didn't work out. This has been a personal favorite of mine for some time. I did not get it back in the day, but found it on eBay several years ago. I have secured the rights to Worlds Beyond (1989), so there will be a classic reprint of it in the near future.

I’ve actually tried contacting a few people involved in Wizards Realm to no avail. It’s pretty good for the era. Pretty sure there was mixed roles for writing and illustrating. Seems like Cheryl Duval was the lead on it.
