This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Other Games / As old-school as it gets.(Mudding)
« on: December 04, 2010, 04:26:09 PM »
Hey, I'm an implementor on a God Wars based mud called Dark City. We are short of players. The game itself has been up since 1997, and due to the mud being down for some time, we lost our pbase. The game is based on second ed VtM/ WtA, and set in the 17th century. A lot of base code, rp is encouraged, though not enforced. We have all Vampire bloodline, and all Werewolf tribes, though some of the powers for some of the more obscure disciplines have not been coded yet. 3000   look for Drax.
I will be powerlevelling the first few peeps who join, so they may help others down the road.

I am looking to part with a lot of my RPGS in the interest of making my move to WV easier. (I'm moving in a 2010 Mustang, so not a lot of room.)
Most of my books are in decent condition, and I'd be willing to trade for more generic systems, etc, though, what I am really looking for is UA 2nd ed to replace my stolen UA 1st edition book.
 What I have left is...
Fading Suns 1st ed and an assortment of supplements.
 Exalted 1st ed  (YUCK!)
Star Trek TNG and Deep Space 9 by LUG
 Trail Of Cthulhu
 Nobilis (big art fag book)
Shadowrun 2nd ed and an assortment of its Tech sources
Transhuman Space and Fifth Wave, 3rd ed GURPS
 Blood Of Heroes
SWSE, Knights Of The Old Republic, and Starships Of The Galaxy
I don't want much in return for any of this, as most of it is in negligible condition( Star Wars books are PRESTINE, as is Nobilis)
 I would like, if possible
 Unknown Armies 2nd ed
  GURPS 4th ed core books
 Basic Roleplaying

Pen and Paper Roleplaying Games (RPGs) Discussion / Just obtained Nobilis.

Saw it on my friend's shelf, and since he wanted my Kevin Smith movies, we made the trade. Pretty, pretty book, but it's going to be awhile before I digest a lot of the concepts. What have been some of your experiences with this game?

Media and Inspiration / Old school Mudding.

Been playing on this Mud, Dark City for the better part of 12 years, we're looking for a new pbase, and if anybody's interested, the addy is 3000. Based on OWOD.

Just read through the clan and bloodline listings for OWOD clans/bloodlines and noticed that Gehenna was utter shit. I see mention of 2 antediluvians rising/ awakening and not much else. I mean, who the fuck wiped out the Tremere Antis, and what other antes other than Ravnos and Tzimisce awakened?

Pen and Paper Roleplaying Games (RPGs) Discussion / Vampire 3rd ed
« on: August 07, 2009, 07:37:39 PM »
Is there any way to obtain this on PDF, as an impromptu game is wanted, and nobody seems to have any of the OWOD cores?

I'll be running a game of something or another at some point. Probably UA, UnMet, or Ptolus.... I'm also rather doing this to help a friend save his marriage, by getting him away from drinking, and as such, I'm quitting the booze myself. Where are some good alternative starting points for characters to meet other than pubs?

Help Desk / i propose a change from "swine".
« on: May 13, 2009, 11:40:20 AM »
Though swine has its own appeal to describe foul, pretentious, insignificant little pigfuckers, I propose to Pundit that we use "insignificunts" instead.
Insignificunts is blunt and to the point, and you won't get the repeated question of "who's swine?" as much.

As I am a fan of archaic technology, and fooling around with it, I would sincerely like to invite each and every one of you to telnet to 4123
It's a new BBS called AnarchyBBS, and it'll be pretty much whatever the userbase wants it to be, whomever the userbase might be at the time.
There very well could be rooms dedicated to roleplaying as well, depending on what kind of interest I get.

I found myself in that position in a couple months back, bringing with me only my Cthulhu books, Dark Heresy, UnHallowed Metropolis, Unknown Armies, and SWSE.
What i lost?
Most of my 3rd ed D&D, though I brought Ptolus.
Trail Of Cthulhu
Hercules and Xena (i was rather fond of this boxed game)
GURPS 3rd ed, with Transhuma Space, GURPS Time Travel, Gurps Supers.
Lot of books i'm missing, has anybody found themselves in a similar situation?

I've been entertaining this thought for a while, and while eliminating the Tesla effects from UnMet, to transition it to a more psychobilly game seems obvious, new callings do not seem so obvious for me. So, give me your opinions on what new callings I can create to ensure a more psychobilly feel to my UnMet game.

Read title, apply wisdom.

I'm interested in knowing about the games you've run with this setting, and maybe to get some ideas stirred myself. So, have at it.
