This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Pen and Paper Roleplaying Games (RPGs) Discussion / Enjoy.

I was someone who had doubts about Zak when Mandy's accusation first came out and maybe I still do. OTOH, he's always been right about defending himself, and in court if he had to. Making Ettin eat crow is good news if you ask me.

I think Ken Hite is a superlative game designer, but my confidence in VtM 5e being a worthwhile game is low, because it seems like a bit of a tough needle to thread. If they successfully grapple with the problems Ken H has with the concept of Vampire protagonists, it may be precisely the answer that will turn off historical fans of the game.

Good way to put it. VtM has never been a big deal for me, but if Ken found a way to make the game different enough to appeal to me, it might also alienate the much larger group of people who like the game in the first place and who I guess are looking for smaller variations.

And you have to remember one other thing. The Constitution and Bill Of Rights doesn't apply to people in the nation illegally.

Not sure about the rest of this shitshow, but I must bust in long enough to say, whether you're trolling or not, you're wrong. Just a little googling will give you a few SCOTUS decisions saying so going back a century ago to recently.

Shanna Germain is Monte Cook's partner in crime, so the entire Monte Cook Games catalog (Numenera, The Strange, etc.)

Yup, not quite done yet, and I am having a good enough time, buuuuuut it's sad to see such a fully fleshed out and enjoyable setting and gameplay hobbled by B to C+ writing. Especially when compared to the original trilogy. Some wasted potential that I hope get fixed when they try again.

OK, now I know you're deliberately trolling.  Forget it.  I've proven my point, what they are doing is a federal crime.

Stop being such a pussy and let GR make their damn game.

Ha! And one of the replies accused the OP of being colorist, because all magic comes from Africa!

Most of my friends use the internet, but somehow managed to avoid most of this weird culture war stuff. Pretty much every time I've brought stuff like this up, they look at me like I'm crazy.

The Twitter row of the moment is some lady saying white people shouldn't do magic. Heat Street summarized it well here

If I haven't read nuttier online before, I'd be scratching my head on a regular basis.

I didn't even need to click the link to know it was Riley. Hate to break it to you Pundit, but you're so late to the party it was filmed on VHS.

I noticed that Pundit was a little late to this party, but his discussion on the history of sexuality and gender was tighter.

A late but worthy addition to the pile of thoughtful criticism on the muddled mess that was the Dennis video.

Help Desk / Idea: A list of really late RPG Kickstarters?

A fella knows when he's licked :).

Good points all. Usually I get my Kickstarter info from Tenkar too, but sometimes I think some straight up "here's some stuff that's getting late, proceed with caution on any new projects" would be nice.

And I understand where you're coming from, my hope is just to "name", but the "shame" often follows. I still wish such a resource was available. Maybe there is, and I just wasn't searching right.

I learned that there was a list of controversial or fraudulent Kickstarter projects on the Boardgame Geek website, but it obviously has a focus. Some searching seems to show that the other forums out there like RPGNet don't have one either.

Unless someone is aware of an online attempt to list RPG Kickstarters that are showing signs of being unfulfilled or are at least very late, maybe we can set up a pinned thread of our own as a site/public resource? I'm suggesting something simple if there's permission and interest:

  • Keep it to RPG related projects over one year from its listed fulfillment date
  • Name of Project
  • Name of Creator
  • Link to Project

Thoughts, concerns, rejection from management?

Now that normal deluxe looks so much better.

Yeah, I do like a handsome book.

Too bad it's, you know, Exalted 3e.

Well hell, the book is finally in the  mail. I can barely contain my ambivalence. :D

Ironically, probably the most powerful occult force in the election was (originally) entirely accidental: Kek.

Now that sounds like an article, unless I missed it.
