This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

There You go .

Congratulations!  You have completed the first episode of the module and earned experience points.

I will record Experience Points awards in this post.  I have added it to the character sheets in this post.

Sorry, I have not been too clear about the sacks of grain.  These were 50-lbs. sacks before they became waterlogged.  They've nearly doubled in weight now that they are soaked.  Certainly, you (plural you) will be able to get them out of the hold and off the ship.  However, such an endeavor will be a serious job requiring the concentrated effort of several people.

Also, I am by no means an expert on grains so as far as I'm concerned the grain has been ruined by the mixture of sea water and wine sloshing about in the hold, and will not be salvageable for food.

Form the group wisely, make sure you share goals and means.
Set norms of table etiquette early on.
Encourage attentive participation and speed of play so the game will stay vibrant!
Allow that the group, milieu and system will from an organic symbiosis.
Most importantly, have fun exploring the possibilities!

hmm, so none of the PCs want to question Hafkris.  What are you doing with Hafkris?  Are you taking him with you or leaving him behind?

Sigmund

Oh taking him for sure. We will question him before too long I imagine... been focused on survival needs first :) Honestly all I want to know is what happened to the ship, but Jon can't see where knowing that would help their immediate cause, and besides he believes is was Valkur who sent a storm to save honest sailors from pirates :D

Arnould intends on taking him with us until we find shelter -quick, hopefully-. Then we'll question him. Interrogation doesn't seem to be an option right now, because we still don't know if there are guys that will show up or whatnot. We need to move.

I don't know what the others are thinking.

Drohem

Benny, Koli currently has Hafkris' sword.  Sterling and Poricus have left the wreck and returned to group on the beach.  Kelvan hasn't posted that he's left the wreck, but I'm assuming he left with Poricus once they discover that there's nothing else to salvage from the wreck.

So, as far as I picture the scene, everyone is gathered on the beach standing around the bound Hafkris.

Unless anyone else wants to do something at this point, I will assume that the group is leaving the beach and heading inland to find shelter with Hafkris in tow.

Benoist

OK. Thanks a lot, mate.

I'm fine with moving on, personally.

Sigmund

I'm fine with it also, to the point where jon will start heading that way with his arms full of driftwood.

questioning after sobriety...let's move inland!

Drohem...was Sterling able to salvage any appreciable lengths of rope?,will marriage knot it together before heading inland.

My thought process was that he was clearly incoherent...either intentionally, or baiting us until the others (if they are alive) returned. Either way was hazardous for our health...if he WILL talk, great...but I'm not placing a TON of faith in a half-orc pirate slaver being cooperative (or trustworthy)...=)

I agree. Arnould's idea is that he will give the guy a chance to talk. If he doesn't, tries to escape, and is just being stupid, then he will have made a choice that will trigger his doom, one way or the other.

Cargoman

The only thing I had in mind was to have Kelvan to equip himself with the crossbow .
Also as we search for shelter , keep an eye out for food , eggs ,plants and small game .
Finding a fresh water source would be good also .

Drohem

Here is the current list of salvaged items and who is carrying them:

Arnould- Dagger
Koli- Broadsword and studded leather armor
Melisanna- Boots and cloak
Kelvan- Heavy crossbow and bolts
Poricus- Sea charts and book
Jon- Driftwood (10 forearm-sized pieces)
Sterling- Rope pieces (about 25-feet when knotted together)

Please let me know if I missed anything. :)
