This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

[Top Secret] Cold War espionage - any interest?

Just like it says on the tin - is there interest in a TS play-by-post campaign?

I've had these notes sitting around for over six years now. I could never find anyone interested enough to commit to playing face-to-face, and my previous attempt at a play-by-post, about three or four years ago, crashed and burned spectacularly after only a couple of weeks; in fact, I swore I wouldn't run anything pbp again after that experience.

But, realistically, I know my only way of running this will be online, so if I can find two or three players, I'm going to take another stab at it and hope for the best.

I'm game and own the game in PDF, just haven't got around to read it yet.
My name is Ramón Nogueras. Running now Vampire: the Masquerade (Giovanni Chronicles IV for just 3 players), and itching to resume my Call of Cthulhu campaign (The Sense of the Sleight-of-Hand Man).

Mr. Kent

I don't own TS but I'll be reading along with great interest!

Thanks for the interest.

Imperator and Drohem, please post your characters to the Tradecraft thread - that will be our out-of-character thread for the campaign.

Butcher, I will get you set up with a pregen later today. Are you at all familiar with Top Secret? If you're familiar with the bureaus, is there a particular bureau you'd like your character to be in? Or do you have some archetype which inspires you?

Great! But I will need some help, I haven't had the chance yet to read the book! :D

Vulmea, I would love to play as well, though I do not have the rules, and last played some 20 years ago. I am guessing that you are running 1st Ed? Found my pdf for 2nd but that may not be the right version needed.

It's the revised edition of the original game, not Top Secret/S.I.

Four players is kinda a lot, but manageable - I'm going to cap it here though, and ask the mods to close this thread. Please move discussion to the Tradecraft thread.
