This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Good Morning

New member here, so hello to everyone.

Secondly, would there be any interest in a Renaissance / Black Powder RPG. The rules are completely free.

My idea is that the main Renaissance RP will be used to design characters in conjunction with MRQ II Core, but they can be from any other D100 setting. Would there be interest in this?

I like the system well enough, and there's no shortage of BRP/d100 fans in this forum.

What's the setting? Standard issue Clockwork & Chivalry (Civil War England), or something different?

I was thinking of starting in standard issue setting and then maybe end up travelling across the multiverse Moorcock if that would interest in search of objects that need to be put back together to prevent a threat from surfacing.

Hell people could even play characters from across the multiverse to start with, although some abilities would be restricted - in that they are not at home where their deities can help them.

I do have quite a few supplements and have read them once or twice and really wanted to try them all out and I sort of envisioned this as a way to do it - but stages.

Sounds like a hoot! I'm in.

How do I go about creating a character? Renaissance/Black Powder RAW? Anything I should be aware of? What options from MRQII can I use?

I'm just in the process of putting something together actually.

Essentially Renaissance + heroic abilities and stuff from MRQ II and associated supplements. Some parts of RQ I would be okay - but that is mainly fluff and setting for a character, e.g. Slaine.

I'm also thinking of doing it on a points buy to make things equal, if that sounds cool?

What kind of concept (s) did you have in mind?
