This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

"Tudd, it is only 150, I bet you could go down a rope hand over hand and get down there in no time."

Nimten starts looking around for a way he can get down their in a hurry.

OOC - Are their rafters I could throw a length of rope over, then tie myself to one end and get three or four people to hold the other and lower me down? With my pack I weight less than 100 pounds.

Tudd is one strong fellow. He could climb down by the force of his arms, using the shaft with his feet and grasp to lower himself down faster (basically letting himself fall down, breaking periodically with his hands on the rope and feet on the walls of the shaft)?

There are metal hoops all around the hole. Cadfan could lower you down, Nimten.

Cranewings

"Cadfan, if you don't mind," Nimten hands him a length of rope while making a quick harness for his shoulders with the other end, "if I go limp, be a good fellow and pull me back up?"

Soon as we can, I'm going to start down. I imagine Tudd will be ahead of me sense he doesn't need to tie a harness on.

Benoist

OK. Cadfan understands the danger of the situation. At first, Ylarum's henchmen want to help, but he stops them before they do so. He reaches for a potion he's got with him at all times (!), and drinks it. He then helps Nimten and the others prep the rope and starts to lower the Magic user down ASAP.

Cranewings

As he is being lowered, Nimten thinks about how nice it will be if the enemies in this pit are susceptible to his Sleep spell, and how much it is going to hurt if he has to take a go at it with his staff.

Sigmund

Leaping to his feet, Tudd runs over to the rope used to lower the basket and, slinging his shield and morningstar over his shoulders with leather straps, grabs the rope in his gloved hands and starts sliding down the rope. Using his feet as well, Tudd slows only to keep from actually causing himself damage, yelling, "I'M COMIN' BRUDDER! ME AND THE BUG'R COMIN'!"

Nimten and Tudd, both roll 1d100 each!

Cadfan rolls 1d100, lowering Nimten down the well: 52.

Benoist

LOL

The ride is pretty rough. Cadfan is basically using the sole strength of his arms pumped with whatever magic juice he ingested to lower you down the hole. He lets you basically fall for a while, and suddenly catches the rope, and on. And on. But you manage it pretty well! It's like you and Cadfan are in perfect synchronicity or something.

;)

Ooooooh! :D

You are going down the well MUCH faster than Nimten. You hit your head at some point, lose your grip and fall down the well like a cannon ball! Roll me another d100, Tudd!
