Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). You step in front of the Chartreuse candle. There is a sudden movement of the air around you, and you are projected to the ceiling violently. Roll 1d6.

Drohem

"No, Gareth!" Rissthil tries to shout a warning to his shipmate before he walks in front of the candles, but it was too late.

Looking at the creature on the dais, he yells in frustration, "what do you want?!"

============================================

OOC: Does Rissthil have his sword at his side?

Lilaxe

Smeads will check around the room for a secret door...

Rissthil yells. He is fairly sure than anybody would have heard him at this distance, but the individual on the dais doesn't react. He seems rather small, actually, now that he is looking more closely.

Yes.

Tell me which wall you are checking out.

You manage to not land on the Yellow candle.

This was very close, the result of a loose wrist touching the ceiling and correcting your trajectory unexpectedly.

You instead fall backwards, just north of Chartreuse candle. Pain surges through your body. Red ichor clouds your vision. You see Tudd standing over you fighting some vomit-like monstrosity. You see a dwarf run by with an axe raised high. You open your mouth, but no sound comes out of it. Just crimson bubbles, dark foam and saliva.

You reopen your eyes. You hear a distant echo. You get a feeling someone is staring at you.

You see the Chartreuse candle burning bright. You wonder what just happened. You check out your eyes, your mouth. No blood. Everything is quiet again. You see Rissthil looking at you from the other side of the corridor, beyond the candles.

I do so. When we meet over there, I will tell my fellows what I saw.

You can crawl to the other side without problem.

Gareth can see that the Indigo lantern is back at its original place, hanging from the ceiling, above the large urn resting on its pedestal. It is rather odd, because you can see that pretty much everything else, besides other people and creatures, is much like you saw it earlier: the clutter all around, the position of the beams on the ground... even the sickening goo the tentacled horror vomitted when you came into the room with the carpet and candles is still there. But then, there is the statue of the hobbit monk, too. It's nowhere to be seen.

Drohem

Thanks be to Celestan!, Rissthil thinks to himself when he sees Gareth make his way out of the room and meets him.

Looking back into the room, Rissthil says, "come on, Smeads!  Get out of there and come with us."

Rissthil taps Gareth on the shoulder and points to the figure standing on the great dais in the large circular chamber.

Lilaxe

Smeads heeds his comrades suggestion, and gives up looking for a secret door. He moves to the doorway then retraces his route to get out of the hallway.

(side steps to the right, then crouches at the L part of the wall and crawls along under the candles)

Gareth looks at the figure, trying to make out who it is, or at least if it is an statue or what.

It takes a little while for your eyes to focus in this strange environment. Finally, you can see the individual is wearing monk robes. Judging by the slight movements you see in the fabric, it is not a statue, but a living, breathing person. Right now, he or she is facing the north-eastern wall of the circular room (the wall with the shattered stone trough).

Lilaxe

"Riss, has the figure on the dais said anything?"
