This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

We are seeking 1-2 new players for our Mutant Future sandbox game. The current game centers around the mysterious Gam’A Zone; a vast, unexplored area that was once impassible but is now ‘safe’ to traverse. The wild speculations of abandoned treasures from the ancients make the reward worth the risk!

Spoiler
The game uses the free Mutant Future rules from Goblinoid Games (modified with some house rules) and is set in a homebrew world, The Wretched Regions. The game is D20/OSR based, so those familiar with D&D will understand the basic rules.

Posting rates of 2-3 times per week (including weekends). Players are expected to make their own die rolls using the site's die roller.

Character creation is per the rules with one exception; any mutations are selected by the GM based on a picture or description of the character provided by the player.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Sounds interesting!

How many total players are active in the campaign?

We have six active players. They are currently in a settlement, preparing to return to the Gam'A Zone.

Any other questions, feel free to ask.:)

I checked out the Unseen Servant page. Good stuff. I saw the houserules and posting rules, but I didn't see how chargen works.

EDIT: Doh! There is an entire obvious thread subsection!!

Here's the link for everyone else:

What races does the party have? I'd be happy to round out the crew with something not present.

We have:

2-Pure Humans
2-Mutant Humans (Humanoids with alien features)
1-Mutant Animal (Baboon with wings)
1-Mutant 'Animal' (An amorphous blob)

We lost our 'battle tank' Mutant Ape when the player went MIA.
We lost a Mutant Bat-man because the player culled his number of games played/GM'd
We lost a Mutant Human/Changling due to the player's real life issues

Mutant Future doesn't have any set Races, just categories. Feel free to play what you would like. How we've done mutants, is to select a picture or drawing and then I will assign the mutations based on the picture. Players roll all other attributes.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

The group is about to head back into the adventure zone. This would be a good time for new player introductions.
