SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

[Off-Site] Star Wars RPG

I have set up a site for a PbP game called Star Wars: Heroes & Scoundrels using the Wizards of the Coast Saga Edition as a base.  This was basically set up as a way for me to play the Star Wars RPG even though there is no one in my small town to play it.  I tried various online Star Wars games but each of them had some drawback that turned me away.  So I decided to create my own.

The game is set up so that players create characters that can traverse the galaxy participating in various different adventures and activities.  The emphasis is placed on participation in various roleplay stories that crop up on the site from time to time, but there is also a commerce system and starship travel outside of the roleplay to allow players to purchase items and travel to different planets.  Players are also allowed to run their own roleplays to develop the background of their characters.

At any given point any player may have a character doing any activity allowed within the game.  You may have one character piloting a New Republic X-Wing against Imperial forces above Hoth while another is making the Kessel run.

The setting of the game is approximately twelve years after the Battle of Endor and considers the majority of the cannon timeline leading up to that point as being part of history.  Many of the famous characters from the original trilogy exist and interact with the current galaxy and your characters have the opportunity to meet, greet and potentially destroy these characters.

We are still in the fledgling stages at this point with some infrastructure to be completed but things are moving along.  We have 11 members thus far about a fourth of which are active and are looking for more in order to make our games more diverse and exciting.

Please take some time to check out the site and if you are interested go ahead and sign up and create a character.  If you decide not to sign up for some reason attributed to the game or site then please let me know what you had a problem with so that I can strive to fix that problem.  I am doing all of the heavy lifting in regards to administration at the current time but am hoping that once we have a few more members I will appoint assistant administrators to help create roleplays and direct the site.

The site is progressing nicely with nearly all of the infrastructure in place.  The first roleplay is nearing completion and a second one started today with a third one in sign up stage.

Our membership numbers has climbed slightly and our total number of posts is approaching 1000.  Please take some time to go check it out when you have a chance.  It has been a lot of fun for the active users and is sure to only be more entertaining the greater number of people that are on it.
