You awake in the back room of the the Lusty Lizard, one of God City's more raucous drinking establishments. The previous night was enjoyable (you think),as you each made the acquaintance of a blue eyed robodroid doxy named Azure. There was much drinking and fun of an adult nature, but now that you try to pull the details from your alcohol addled brain, the evening is otherwise a blank.

What's more, in addition to your splitting headache, you each have a strange blue rash spreading over your sword arms. Hmm time to see a doctor.

Greetings! I have the good fortune to be on vacation but the misfortune to have taken it during a horrid heat wave. I've long been a lurker here and I think I'd love to run a game. A game of Encounter Critical. A game of EC based on an old TSR Forgotten Realms adventure.

EC, is for the uninitiated, a faux rpg, a homage/parody of 70's rpgs. Its a free download here. But I assume many of the denizens of this site have heard of EC :)

I'd love to have 4 players, although I'll take more. Characters begin at level 1. You may roll your stats.

I would love to have daily posts, but I am realistic. But a couple to three times a week would probably keep the game going.

I'll post an invite at the EC yahoo group, too.

Oh yes, since it seems to be almost de rigueur  for a game of EC, a portrait of your character perhaps made with something like Hero Machine might be in order. Optional of course, but possibly worth a bit of xp.

I've created a Lizard Man Magic User who I'm calling Chalemander of the Swap. Stats are; Adapt 11, Dex 14, ESP 9, Int 14, Lead 10, Luck 8, Magic 16, R.N. 5, Strength 14. He has the Blue Diamond eye mutations, adding 20% to seduce and cranial antennae which add 10% to clue, read minds and alien friend but reduces seduce by 15%.

Ok it looks like we have two heroes, both warlocks: Vap'rach the Unloved,Klengon and Chalemander of the Swap, Lizardman.

I'll let recruiting go till the end of the week and see if maybe we can push off then.

Now for the more rational reply, let's give it a go and perhaps recruit along the way. I'll put in a plug at a rpg forum I frequent. I didn't "purchase" equipment for ol Challie so I'll do it now.

OK, I will begin an IC thread either today or tomorrow.  I will leave how you each know each other.

Also, if no one objects, I will do the die rolling to facilitate things. Since EC is so skill tastic, just note what skills you want to use during your RP. No need to ask just try whatever ones you would like; that is part of the charm of EC!

OK, its ben a strange week here, but I fear I am going to have to cancel this game. I know mr creel especially is going to be irked especially after his dicovery of my blog :)

Long story short, today I learned that my position at a Big International Shipping Corporation is being expanded, which will mean I will be away from home and a computer even longer each day. That, combined with having a 2 year old at home is going to leave precious little time to find for typing on anything resembling a regular schedule.

PbP is convenient, but it can also be time consuming especially when DMing.

I apologize for the tease, but this week has been a bit strange, albeit in a good way. But I'd rather not start then begin and have the game wither in 2 weeks.
