Pretty cool. Sounds good to me!
I think Hamrick is a cynical dude. It's kinda weird for a Halfling. I'm curious to see how the character will turn out in play.

Ok, corrected my stats and got the magice itesm as well - how's this?

Looking good!  So, we are a trio of grim Cyrian expatriates.  Only four years has passed since we lost our beloved homeland and nation of Cyre.

Let's roll!

Hmm I surpose we gotta solve a few things before we actually get to the ass kicking.

First how do you guys want to handle dice? Quite Frankly I trust you guys, so if everyone just wants to roll their plastic marbles at home that is fine with me.

If that's not cool with everyone May I suggest

http://www.catchyourhare.com/diceroller/ password Kyber

if you got it working, you should see a hi spelt out in blue dice

Its a dice roller with a tag feature that I think would work pretty snazzy, That said It doesn't enforce security or allow rolls to be checked or anything like that.

Last option and most cheat proof would probably be Invisible Castle or another place that allows dice rolls to be verified.

So tell me what you think on that front.

The Second issue is the battlemap.

I personally hate them for PBP (its a lot alota work for not much payoff in PBP i think). If everyone is willing to work with me and a range scale and just being descriptive, I think it could work and if things go Tits up we can then pull out the map.

If people really want however, I can do maps easier than normal due to the PDF I'm using having decent maps.

So tell me what you think on that front.

See and that's the reason why I have a pre encounter, because it just occurred to me that I may need dice for a dice based roleplaying game...

I'm fine with the plastic rolling at home. I trust everyone.

It's going to be interesting to play without mat. We've had some debates here on how this would work out for 4e. So I'm more than willing to give it a shot.

Personally, I'll be using Invisible Castle for my dice rolls.  I cool with whatever everyone else does for their dice rolls. :)

Since 4e D&D is so positional and map orientated it would nice to see a map now and again; although it's not entirely necessary for one every round.  But again, I am cool with however you or the others want to handle it.  It's possible to do it without maps entirely- just be prepared to be peppered with questions. :p

Hehehe... I was in AM's experiment here where he ran several 4e D&D encounters without a map.  It worked and it's possible, but, in all honestly, I would like to see at least a map of the initial positions of all the combatants for my own frame of reference.

BTW, my dwarf fighter in that game was named Fargrim, LOL.

Werekoala

"Random" name generator for the win! :)

My Fargrim will be far cooler, anyway.

Agreed, nothing else I wish to contribute at this time.

Hey everyone,

I edit my last post to avoid double posting, so go check the IC thread.

Is their a way to do a spoiler blockon these forums . I quoted out the 'spoilt' text and I dont really care if everyone reads it so  I guess that will have to do for now.

Apparently you guys are getting another sidequest thrown at you. If you dont want to take it, just stay in the room. Either way I hope my prose is not too purple for you. I'm just trying to convey the sense of awesome that is eberron.  If it is too purple let me know and I will try to trim it down.

How do you roll init in 4e again?
I can't remember and don't have the books with me at the moment.
