Well, the only character I played so far was a halfling ... warlock? Worceror? One of those. Kinda neat, but I think I'll fall back to either a fighter or maybe a cleric this time out. As to race - hell, I don't know - too many to choose from! I'll have to hop on the character creator tonight at home and see what I can come up with.

If Werekoala's going for a Cleric, and you're going for a Warden (so some type of fighter, a Defender), I'm going to go for a striker. A Rogue?

As for the race, I don't know.

Drohem

Well, for only three characters I think that it's a good team- Leader (Cleric), Defender (Warden), and Striker (Rogue).

Logos7

its a balanced Team.

I kinda want to run a game sometime that is all ranger all the time (and maybe a sorcerer who thinks he is a ranger) just to see if we could do it.

Either way it sounds likes its coming together. I look forward to hearing about your characters soon.

Quote from: Logos7;314221that would be 16,14,13,12,11,10 for the stats.

and if you use the builder please make sure to turn off stray sources (just phb1,2 and Eberron Players Guide)

otherwise, a level 1, 2, and 3 item as well as gold equal the price of a level 1 item.

I hate to be the teacher's pet :(, but he did specify the ability score array to use in creating the character.

Okay. First time I make a 4e character so, if I made an obvious poor choice or really bad combo, or mistake, please enlighten me:

If everyone can make sure that they have the appropiate racial stuff written down somewhere (for dwarves its a handful of always on power and for the halfing its a racial power I think)

other than that they look pretty good.

One last thing before we start playing, how did people want to be organized assocatied. I figured that we could pick a reason for everyone to be working together to begin with rather than going threw a long storming and norming period at the begining. However if you guys want to , I have a tavern in mind...

Some Ideas

A=> This is a Favour to a common Associate/Mentor of everyone
B=> You are subcontractors of House Tharashke, hired for your winning reputation (needing to protect their mining operations nearby)
C=> You are independant but friendly prospectors hoping to get rich off dragonshards (a precious magic gemstone)
D=> Your bound by Religion, Creed or Country (take your pick, maybe your all silver flame zeolots or Cyre survivors, etc

Drohem

Option A or Option B would be my first choices, then Option C followed by Option D.

I like the Survivors of Cyre idea in particular of option D (the idea that we all know each other from the Great War, a bit like in the Battle of Serenity valley for Firefly's crew, seems cool to me - maybe we could have formed a band of mercenaries with no lord, no master, since our nation is destroyed, and then get hired for our winning looks by this NPC or that House?).

Otherwise, Option B, C and A lastly.

Alright, that sounds pretty darn cool- I'm down with that!

Werekoala

I know zip about Eberron, so this Cyre thing works for me too! :)

Okay short story of the last war,

Once their was a big contientent spanning nation that was the height of human achievement (sound familure) that was called Galifar (not Galifrey ooo wee ooo).

104 years ago the current king died early when all the princes (who each ruled a big province as preparation for kinghood) where still in a dickish age, and they went to war with each other.

The war started 104 years ago and ended 100 years ago. It was brutal with both Golem Armies (warforged) and Undead Armies (Karnathi Undead) being raised, lots of land and achievements being sabotagued and generally the quality of life being lowered.

It ended when the magic equivalent of a super nuke hit Cyre. Cyre was literally called 'the crown jewel of Galifar' and was the center of both magic and cultural advancement.  Cyre in one fell swoop was converted into a radiactive monster spawning pit of oblivion that is still more or less instant death for those who enter.  (if you watched the movie, 'The Mist' the same style of thing happened here, A dead grey mist envolped cyre and thats the end of that.

that cause everyone else to pony up to the peace table with the main powers left (breland a sort of proto america) and Karrnath (a sort of proto russia known for undead armies) both pursueing peace.

So Cyrians, those who are still alive (think 1000's) both have huge survivor guilt, a rational incentive to work with every other cyran (closest thing to home your ever going to get) and a big chip on your sholder (someone did this to cyre).

If you guys want to all play cyran's who have banded together since then and now do odd jobs due to your awesomeness sounds good.

Unless someone has an object I will be making the first IC post sometime soon. Do they tend to use a seperate IC thread here or should I just post it here?

Yeah, I'd go ahead and make a separate IC thread, and we can just use this thread as the OOC thread.
