This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Hey wulfgar,

Just saw the reference to this game in Makofan's thread...

I don't have "Lords of Creation" (and to be perfectly honest, I do not intend to get myself a copy), but I'd like to play in this game if you're willing to have me :D!

Welcome aboard Kipper.  Here's your rolls:

Muscle: 7
Speed: 14
Stamina: 4
Mental: 10
Luck: 10
$120
Life Points: 10

Just give me an idea of what you want your character to be like and I'll fill out the rest of the game stats.  The game is starting off at a ficitional university in Pittsburgh.  The other 3 pc's are all students, you can be one too, or you can come up with some other reason to be hanging around campus.

Great :D!

Give me a day to think about it, and I'll have a character concept up to match the stats tomorrow.

As I'm reading it, the character is quite fast, but a bit weak, and a bit on the poor side...

What I picture for kipper's character is the little asian boy out of the second India Jones movie (or something like that but older)

@ Brumbar: funny enough, I was thinking of roughly the same idea :D

@ Makofan: hope you don't mind me entwining my character with yours ;)

~~~~
James Kluebottle
James is the 11-year old brother of Sabrina Kluebottle.
James has lived in the shadow of his much more popular and outgoing elder sister for his entire life. Everything he does is always compared (unfavourably) to her accomplishments.
Much to the disappointment of his father, James shows no interest in school, often skipping school entirely to wander about town on his own, sometimes getting into trouble and having to have his parents pick him up from the police station. He often ends up at the university campus on his jaunts, where he will alternately ride his omnipresent skateboard on top of various architectural features, or slip into classes just for the fun of it... no-one seems to pay him any attention or question his presence, always assuming he's with someone else.
~~~~~

I'm not sure how skills work in LOC, but I'm imagining his strengths to be in the areas of stealth (avoiding notice), skateboard-riding, lying his way out situations if he is questioned, and maybe a bit of petty crime... maybe also overhearing gossip, and a surprising knowledge of general trivia... if you need more background information to help flesh him out, please ask :)

Damn :(, I didn't even notice that until you said it... I *really* don't want to my character to be Bart :(... gotta re-do the character now...

EDIT: Problem is, I *do* want him to be a fairly young kid (10-14). My original idea was somewhat like a street kid, but trying to update it to present-day Pennsylvania... somehow he ended up too much like Bart though... any ideas how can I make him less like Bart :confused:?

Hah! It's funny reading the comments there must be some telepathy going on here- my take on Kipper's character was half bart simpson and half John Connor from Terminator II.  Here's what his sheet looks like:

James Kluebottle

Muscle 7 Damage +1
Speed 14 Initiative +2
Stamina 4 Heal 1/day
Mental 10 Power +1
Luck 10 Roll 6
Total 45 Personal Force 5

Physical 9
Life Points 10

Skills
Slingshot 1
Street Criminal 1 (street connections)
Theatrical 1 (acrobatics) - for use with the skateboard
Computer 2 (computer operations, computer programming)

Weapons
Slingshot range 80ft damage 1D6

Equipment
Bag of marbles (for slingshot ammo among other things)
skateboard
forged student ID (says he's 18 and get's him access to the libaray and computer labs on campus)
MP3 player

Let me know if that's unbartish enough for you.

That's great wulfgar, I can live with that :D. I guess the fake ID works fine for passing electronic locks, but I'd like to see the look on someone's face if he ever has to show them his ID saying he's 18 :D

I'm going to start a new thread for the actual game.  If you've got any off topic comments or questions later on, go ahead and post them in this thread, that way we can keep the game thread as on topic and easy to navigate as possible.  This should be fun!
