[Interest] 2e AD&D Red Steel Campaign

I'll let a couple of tracks from the Audio CD included in the 2e AD&D Red Steel Campaign boxed set speak for itself:

Firstly, here is the Narrative Track which provides an introduction to the Red Steel campaign setting.

Secondly, here is The Inheritors Track which is an audio drama that gives a feel for the campaign setting.

Anyone interested?  If we get at least three players, then I'll fire it up. :)

Bedrockbrendan

Just noticed this one. I would be interested in this. Dont remember a whole lot about red steel though.

Are you using stuff like NWPs?

Bloody Stupid Johnson

I'd be maybe interested as well, haven't played any 2E for awhile.

Drohem

It would be standard 2e AD&D (no Powers & Options) so we would be using NWPs and Kits.

The Red Steel campaign takes place on the Savage Coast of the world Mystara.

Savage Coast map:
Spoiler

The Vaults of Pandius website has the Savage Cost Campaign Book available to view which provides a great deal of information on the geographical location and the setting of a Red Steel campaign.

Just let me know if you're still interested and I can start working on it.

Bloody Stupid Johnson

Love kits and NWPs - I'm still up, if we can hunt down a third player somehow.

Bedrockbrendan

Sounds good to me. I am on board with no powers and options (never used those books myself). I still have a number of complete books (off the top of my head fighter, wizard, bard and thief---have ninja too but probably not applicable). So if anyone needs kit info happy to provide.

Any guidelines in terms of where we should be from and character creation?

Drohem

Two it shall be to start! :)

I'll start working on character guidelines and post them later today.

Awesome! Looking forward to it. :)
Thanks Drohem.

Couldn't get either of the audio tracks to run, unfortunately. Have had a look through the campaign book - pretty cool. Wondering if the game is more likely to be more land or sea based - though if the GM wants to keep it a surprise fair enough.
Interesting to see all of the monster races as PCs, though I'm leaning toward more regular demihuman at this point. I have a mostly built dwarf thief/psionicist (Diplomat) here, though after reading the book a gaucho ranger (or ranger/cleric) might also be interesting, or something swashbuckly to fit the setting - perhaps a Blade. (Also depends on what you other guys are interested in playing, and I should probably wait until the rules doc is out).

Drohem

I created an information thread with some basic character creation information.  This should get your creative juices following for making a Red Steel character.

There are some special cases depending on race/class/kit combo, but I'll only bring those up if someone shows interest in one of these areas.

Please feel free to ask any questions about creating your character here.  :)

Fancy a rakaska fighter using the noble kit if that is a goer.
