This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Layla studies him as well.  He seemed to her to be more then a mere shop keeper.  She liked him almost instinctively, but also felt that he could be very dangerous.   She replies "land animal that can swim."

While the "shopkeeper" was looking at his wares, she thinks about what he said.  She gets Phens attention.  She quotes to him " should be fluid like armor"?  "I think our shop keeper is maybe a little more than he seems.   What's your take?  And don't act stupid and blow me off. Be seriuos for a minute."

Phen

phen takes a moment to .... Blink, as he tries to ponder what you're saying...

" Maybe he isn't what he seems, lets find out"

Phen draws his Great Sword from his sheath, and raises it up in the air... No sooner does he do that then The shopkeeper says...

Pete the Petshop Keeper

" Avia! " he shouts, and the twin Ivory colored birds on his arms swiftly swoop down and disarm Phen, they fly just above his head, and out of reach as Phen jumps up and down like a maniac trying to retrieve his sword... Sometimes he gets just a small edge of a jump and the Birds fly a little
Higher...the shopkeep has a giant grin on his face and is just laughing away...

"Phen!Stop!" Layla shouts up into his face.  She faces the shop keeper "Give it back please.  He has other methods of trashing this place if he really wants to.  It was a mistake to draw in here but he's a bit sensative and very sentamental about his sword.   We're not here to make trouble.  All I want is a pet."   She studies him "You are more than you seem, but that is your business.  Please give back the sword and we will leave your shop.  I can find a pet elsewhere."

Pete The Pet-shop Keep

" There are no other Petshops in the area... , And I am simply a very good Pet Trainer "

He gives a nod to his pet birds and they drop Phen's sword, and return to his shoulder

As the customers he was speaking with exit the building, he comes out from behind his counter and motion's you over to the Bolf

"Tell me what do you think when you see this Creature?"

The beast snarls a little bit at you, and bares it's teeth at you.

"This creature is one of the rarest our World has to offer, it's Smart, It can defend you and Attack, it is always alert and ready...and once trained it will be more Loyal than your Friend here "  .. AS he nods towards Phen

"Not exactly pocket sized, is he"?  She asked Phen.   But the thought of having a bolf started to intrigue her.  The shop owner was correct, they were very rare.   She moved closer to the animal, crooning softly to it.   "I'm not sure I can afford him.  Or is he a "she""?

Pete the petshop keeper

"She is a she , and she is a puppy... I took her myself from her dead mother's den....a few weeks ago, I have trained only one, once before...the Price will be 5'000 Credits for the Training, because we will spend everyday training for 8 weeks, you will eat with her, sleep with her, and speak to her in commands all day long for all 8 weeks, and my time is very valuable to me, because I can't be here at my shop for those 8 weeks... The beast itself is 1'000 credits..., Now I understand it's pricey but, if you can get the money within two weeks, we can still have successful training, maybe 3 weeks, but not 4 weeks...once the beast is about 2 months old, it will become feral, and it will be too late..."

He wait's your response...

"of course there is this lovely Squeesel, that i just found, I could give you for 250 Credits...of course you'll have to train it yourself"

Layla looked at the bolf regretfully. "I'm sorry I cant afford that."  She turns her attention to the squeezel.  Is it easier to train?  "  She eyed the creature with interest.   The fur looked so soft.

No!, Sir, I've never had a pet.   I'm willing to to what it takes to take care of him.   Would you be willing to take some trade goods in lieu of some of the credits?
