The next 10 days are crazy, but at last you think the last of errors are taken care of. You get a small victory when the repaired jump and thrust drives pass all their diagnostic tests with flying colors as well as the fuel purification units. Life support is now running properly throughout the ship. Finally you are ready to test the power distribution net again!

Travis spent the last 10 dys installing cameras and such...installing secret doors...you hear him hum a catchy tune...some thing like
"I feel the black reaching out

He almost seems happy to be going back to space...

Violet laughs and sings along on the intercom channel:

Sweet. Travis shows the other three his find, inside the forward fuel tank is 2 spaces, one with 4 bunks, and a separate empty space, and the very, very cleverly hidden feul transfer system so when an Aux Fuel tank is filled, is totally covers the spaces, but can be emptied thus allowing entrance to and from by some "Fuel Tank Maint" Hatches. all this, the new secret doors, and new, updated surveillance systems, all shown during the off hours when they are the only ones on board, out of site of the "Watchers".

Travis assumed the Berth right behind the bridge, Captain has his Quarters, Sanke, then Violet. (also a special interlock has been placed on the shared Head for Violet and Sanke...)

At all times the "watchers" are being watched, communications monitored...

As the two of you walk over both men advance to meet you. The uniformed man breaks into a friendly smile, "Hello! Is one of you the Captain of this ship?"

"I'm LT. Maddox, I'm with the Constabulary here on Markos." He nods to the other man, "My friend here Mr. Spota is a representative from our Merchants Association. It seems as though there was a theft of some cash at the hostel that both of you were staying at!"

He smiles and shakes his head, "No, no, I know that neither of you had anything to do with it!"

"The fact of the matter is that both the cash and an employee named Violet McCloud disappeared at the same time, and we are searching for her - just some routine questions and we will cut her loose. She has a good local reputation, and passing a simple polygraph exam will certainly satisfy all concerned. I heard that she had visited your hanger several times, so we wanted to come by and clear things up."

He flashes you a broad open grin, "Your cooperation is much appreciated!"

*alarms Bells are going off, who are these guys, really??? No way Violet did that...need to get back to the ship and talk to her...*

Travis Smiles, assuring them of their complete co-operation.

Pleasure to meet you gentlemen," Radek says with a smooth smile and easy manner, "Violet?  Yes, she's the receptionist hostel that I am staying at.  She's a nice and bright girl.  I was having a conversation with her and mentioned that I was going to need a work crew to help me get my new ship up and running and she offered to help.  She was invaluable in getting the work crew together and settled for me.  Unfortunately, I haven't seen her after she put the crew together for me.  We've been busy here at the yard getting her up and running.  I've got deadlines and got to get her into space to make some money."

Travis pulls out a Tablet that is vibrating, all three others see some readouts and alarms going off..."you'll have to excuse me gentleman, the Power Plant isn't all up and running yet, need to see to these alarms." He again nods to the 2 Officers, and heads back, muttering commands into a communicator.

*Thank the Space Gods for some pre-thought and codes...Sanke should be on alert, and Violet now knows to keep a low profile...*

As he turns to leave, he stops, turns around..."Wait, you said that girl at the Hostel?? Dammit, she said she could get me some very good Whiskey...that mean she's not?? @#$  %$@#&" as he walks off...

Radek's Tablet goes off, same alarms are being relayed to him as well...

Maddox smiles broadly at both of you, "Thanks for your cooporation citizens! We'll just look about the ship and ensure she's not trying to stowaway."

Mr. Spota speaks into a communicator and 10 officers pop out of the hanger office and trot up the ship's ramp, fanning out about the ship.

Maddox smiles, "We'll be out of your hair very shortly! Much thanks for your assistance!"

Travis prays that the msg got to Sanke and Violet in time...and he hopes Violet remembers that sometimes Discretion is the better part of Valor...

Radek says to Maddox, "I trust you have the proper paperwork for this search?"
