This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

It's 7am when you get a message on your commlink.  It's a text only message from your fixer asking if you are up for some work.  There are a couple of jobs on offer, one of them is simple bodyguard work for a local ganger wannabe by the name of Knuckles Galore, he's a human but word on the street is he's packing some serious augments and has a line to some serious cyber modification.  There are two other jobs but you will have to meet with the Johnsons to get the details.  Your fixer waits for your reply.

Sam fumbled for his comm, unless he squinted there was more than one on his night table, and they were all identical.

"Knuckles?  The hell does that little wanna-be need protection from?  Better question" he shock an empty bottle of mushroom based whiskey, "what's he paying?"

Looking at the message from your fixer you see the offer for Knuckles job is ¥4,000 for two days work over the weekend.  The other jobs don't have any more information than what you've learnt already.  You get another message from your fixer asking if you want to met the Johnsons today or later in the week?

You've also got a couple of personal messages from friends and the usual spam messages offering personal enhancements and cut rate deals for the latest in firepower.

Rummaging through last night's pants for his smokes, Sam dictates responses to the important messages. Screw the spam and the supposedly airtight filters that were supposed to intercept it.

"Let's set meetings with both Johnsons today, and one with Knuckles afterwards. If I tell him to blow smoke it would be nice to actually have other work lined up.  And he pays up front this time. In full."

The smokes and comm join him in the shower as Sam tries to straighten his head out. At least the comm was water proof.
