This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Here are my notes for this session:

Ko Guard: A warlike band of humanoids who wear red and yellow tabards and other articles of clothing, they have a substantial influence in Goblinton
Gruntgur: A mighty ogre, boss of fifteen goblins, is against the Ko Guard and has not joined up with them
Pillsbur: A goblin who was captured by the party, wants to go back to Goblintown, led the party to Goblinton
King Hop: The ruler of Goblinton, lives in a fortress within Goblinton
Spawning Pit: A place that births aberrations, underneath the city of Goblinton
Demon Cocoons: A place of demons, rumored to be the west of Goblinton
Goblinhollow: A festival, takes place tomorrow, those slaves who were not bought will be dropped into a pit to be feasted upon by dire wolves
Goblinton Market: A cosmopolitian marketplace where slaves and contraband are sold
Goblinton Mercenary Guild: Mercenaries hired here are unreliable, however goblin light infantry can be hired and dire wolf mounts can be purchased here
Aeriel: A lawful neutral bee goddess, one of her cleric is currently being auctioned at Goblinton slave market
Hellfire Guild: A mercenary's guild with some heavy infantry for hire in Goblinton
Kasarim: Neighboring kingdom, they have a great slaving tradition
Sisters of Midnight: A female goblin sect who worship the Great Spider who live seperately from other goblins
Orn: Northern kingdom, blonde hair is a characteristic of its people
Riverboat Charles: Attacked and burnt, many of its passengers and crew killed, fourteen people were enslaved, seven were adventurers (human cleric, human rogue, human monk, human fighter, elf ???, human fighter), seven were commoners

Also, we found this message:
"Beware the Spawning Chaos"

If I'm missing anything, let me know.

The Map!!!

Please excuse the gigantor graphic. You have explored all of the upper caves here, except for one tunnel in the northeast, opened the easternmost porticullis. Youv'e done a brief foray into the "lower caves" (southwest), crossed Batswing Aerie and toured Goblintown.

Apologies for the giant graphic.

Great!

just wanted to let you know, the 20 April Gamelog is taking me to a new page creation thingie - so you might want to check that link.

Another great session, IMHO. You guys must have done quite a bit after I left given the information presented here, or was this all just from threatening to toss Pillsbur over the edge in Batswing Aerie?

Oh I haven't finished the gamelog. The group decided eventually to cross that horrifying 180' drop from Batswing Aerie chasm by the zipline thingy. You went 2nd. Of the 5 henchmen that crossed, the 5th one actually fell in, and didn't survive the fall.. and in was soon devoured by an eyeless albino plesiosaur that was lurking in the water below.

I'll have to post a map of that level as well.

Anyhow, after the tragic death of the hireling, Tili figured out how to rope himself securely to the zipline to make sure he didn't fall, and the porters (each harnessed to one of Tili's bloodhounds) made it across as well as Minston.

After that, they hit goblintown, explored a bit, and were invited to the big Goblin Howl, sort of a local celebration. Any un-auctioned slaves will probably be thrown to the dire wolves they have there as well. Tili and Tangal made vague plans for a rescue (Tangal hopes to rescue people he can recruit as henchmen, leaving the civilians. Tili-Teshub will probably do the right thing and try to either rescue or buy freedom for the others.)

So right now, your group is undercover in Goblintown.

Oh here's a profile (note that this is side view, not top down) of the Batswing Aerie level. It's just one massive cave:

Pilsner the goblin led you here, you entered at the top on the left side.

One of the hirelings actually lost his grip on the zipline and fell to his death, but the rest of you were fine.

The rope ladder leads to the spawning pit, but the group opted for Goblintown instead. See my plesiosaur swimming around?

Here is today's set of notes:

Labrinyth of Madness: Another dangerous locale that we probably want to avoid, somewhere passbeneath the Spawning Pit
Trajir: A Lycan gnome who lives in a 'garden", "friend" (guild fellow) of Nocron, gave him a chisel, wants something stolen from Alebard, disguised himself as a goblin
Ko Guard Cairn: Another location in the dungeon, a stronghold of the Ko Guard, and ruled by King Korol, will be a safe haven while we are on the stealing from Alebard mission
Mande Wynwergar: A noble from Lyca who has some affluent relatives, she has made arrangements to properly reward the party
Cavis Blackthorn: A female rogue from Caralon who owes her guild substantial money, she was charmed by Tangal, captured by the Monkey's Paw Guild
Edom: Tangal's trainer at the Monkey's Paw Guild
Red Fever: Disease spreading through Lyca, a substantial reward has been posted for its antidote herbs
The Arrowsinging Incident: A patrol was attacked in the woods west of Lyca, several members were killed, elven arrows were found at the scene, this is causing anti-elven sentiment
Phane Fad: Still going strong...
Gruntgherm: Ogre boss of many goblins, is allowing us to pass unmolested (hopefully) to Ko Guard territory so that we might cause the Ko Guard harm.
Big Bee: Honey business started in Ravens Hollow by the priest of Irial, Tangal had became a backer

Guys I am thinking I might have to put the campaign on hiatus, (or even turn it over to anyone else?). I've had a great time with you guys! Unfortunately, my LFR duties are starting to spin up (as well as Worldwide D&D Gameday, which I am about to be on the hook for). I think I can still run it a few more times until June 6th.

Let me know if you get this! I'll send a Skype message out as well.  It's been great meeting and playing with you all. I'm hoping that that even if you don't continue with this game we get to see more games starting here amongst the goons at theRPGsite. Heh.

Agreed - was having a good time so long as skiing or stranded girlfriends didn't take priority, but I know how Real Life (tm) is.
