This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

OOC: Since we are in combat, is Fargrim not allowed to use a second wind or more surges?

It's not because we're in combat, or that he doesn't have any more surges left.  Fargrim has plenty of healing surges left for the day (he starts with 12).  It's just that he has no way to trigger the use of a healing surge in combat, other than Second Wind.  He already used his Second Wind earlier in the fight.  Once he gets to be higher level and get some Utility powers, then he might be able to trigger more surges himself.  However, at this stage in the game, as a fighter, he has to rely on another class to trigger his healing surges for him in combat.

Got it.  I didn't realize you used your Second Wind already.  Didn't read the post correctly, and there is so much going on.  Still trying to get this Cleric thing, and the system down is all, so I needed further explanation.

It's all good. :)  Everyone did a great job.  It was a tough fight with some tough opponents.  We had just enough in our collective bag-o-tricks to get the job done.

hehehe... it was close there for a moment or two, but perseverance paid off and we took them down.

Abyssal Maw,

How are we going to handle Stralor leaving the group in character?  I assume he was there for the fight in the background.  I figured that in the morning we would head back to the village, and then he would part ways with us there for what ever reason.

OOC there is no reason to give some of the gold to his character because he's leaving the group, and he did nothing for the group during the fight.  However, of course, there is an IC reason to include him in the loot divvy since he was there in-game.

So, here are my feelings on the Stralor issue:
  • Stralor- he was there in background during the fight, stayed the night with us, returns to town with us in the morning, and then parts ways for some yet to be determined reason.
  • Loot- Stralor won't share in it.  We can say that in-game reason he declined a share of the coin found.  He's a noble's son and has enough money anyway.;)
=======================================================

So, now about the rest us and loot divvy.  How do we want to do this?  Obviously, Fargrim would benefit in having that +1 double axe.  Does anyone mind that he gets it?  That would leave the rest of the loot, which equals 356 gold, to be split among the four of you.  That comes out to 89 gold coins each for Edwena, Ridcully, Shroom, and Vathalin.

Are you guys cool with this?  The item that best suits the character goes to that character, and equals shares of the loot for the rest of the characters?

Or do we want to go strictly cash value, sell all items, and then hand out a lump coin sum?

Or do we want to roll for loot pick order?

I cool with any method really. :)

====================================================

Hey AM,

Would Fargrim even consider keeping the double axe?  I mean from a cultural perspective.  If this is the lost hero's weapon Glamerding, would he have a cultural imperative to return to its hero's grave or family?  I guess what I'm asking is this: would there be any stigma attached to Fargrim if he took Glamerding for himself?

Stralor simply leaves in the morning and is too paladinlike to accept any gold. So don't worry about it, heh.

Fargrim should probably keep Glamerding- it is an ancestral treasure, a weapon that was lost for an age, and it's better off under his care than anyone else's. Should you ever return to Copperpot Hold you can of course seek out his family.

All of the 12 dead skeletons will have to be "reconsecrated" and their names returned to the Temple of Moradin in Copperpot Hold anyhow, once you defeat all 12 skeletons.

You can reduce loot to 89gp each right now if you like, it certainly makes things easier.

Yes! and make sure your XP is updated. Although I can't promise I will run this game forever, I want to see everyone through to level 2 at least.

We can play them through the combat or wait until they return, any thoughts?
