So, Bill Coffin's new Sci-Fi RPG running on the D6 system is coming out next month...

So, what's the deal? Anyone heard anything good about it?

They (Bill and Eric) re-negotiated a deal. It should be coming out, but Eric refused to take pre-orders for it this time to prevent any problems.

Has everyone who preordered been refunded? Because if there are any refunds left to do, a copy of Septimus would probably be nice...

Gosh, imagine if it ends up having only a very limited print run and ends up becoming a rarity. Imagine how annoyed you'd be if you'd preordered, been refunded, found out that the thing was coming out anyway, and then couldn't find a copy...
I am no longer posting here or reading this forum because Pundit has regularly claimed credit for keeping this community active. I am sick of his bullshit for reasons I explain here and I don\'t want to contribute to anything he considers to be a personal success on his part.

I recommend The RPG Pub as a friendly place where RPGs can be discussed and where the guiding principles of moderation are "be kind to each other" and "no politics". It\'s pretty chill so far.

As far as I know, all refunds have been received. (I got mine) Those who were involved in the fiasco also received a coupon to buy the game when it comes out at a substantial discount. All in All, I was pleased with the outcome though I bitched like hell in getting there.

So, slogged through the free rpg day download (On Drivethrurpg if you're interested). So far, nothing has grabbed me. Not the system, not the setting. Anybody have anything interesting they can say about the game itself?

Hmmm, I just hope for WEG's sake that they don't find that most of the people interested in Septimus are refundees with vouchers...

I've had the same response. Also, who's Bill Coffin? I've never heard of him but people who were enthusiastic about the project all talk about BILL COFFIN'S SEPTIMUS like he were some sort of bigshot.
