This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Or I would have, if the person who created the poll wasn't a mutton-head.

:p

I forgot that wilderlands was official.

But IK is awesome.

So very much! Although the new system fits it better.

edit: also, if you're allowing third party settings with Kalamar, add Iron Kingdoms as well.

I'm with you there.

Voted Mystara, but you also have Hollow World as a separate option...shouldn't those be rolled together?

Also, I'm of the opinion that Mystara is actually Blackmoor; sure seems that way.
It takes considerable knowledge just to realize the extent of your own ignorance.

I voted Mystara. The Gazetteer books were pure genius wrapped in awesome. Of the official D&D settings its my favorite.

I love Birthright as well, but not enough to make a vote.

While the Grey Box of Forgotten Realms was great, I think as a playable setting it is saddled with too much fiction to be usable for gaming now. There is no room for the players to be their own heroes when you have the likes of El Minister and Drizzzizizizizttitititzizt running around. I feel the same for Dragonlance.

God... I fucking hate Planescape... I hate Spelljammer less than Planescape... and I really hate Spelljammer...
Quote from: ExploderwizardStarting out as fully formed awesome and riding the awesome train across a flat plane to awesome town just doesn\'t feel like D&D. :)

Quote from: ExploderwizardThe interwebs are like Tahiti - its a magical place.

Exploderwizard

Mystara for the win. A completely unrealistic world designed just to house D&D goodness. :D
Quote from: JonWakeGamers, as a whole, are much like primitive cavemen when confronted with a new game. Rather than \'oh, neat, what\'s this do?\', the reaction is to decide if it\'s a sex hole, then hit it with a rock.

Quote from: Old Geezer;724252At some point it seems like D&D is going to disappear up its own ass.

Quote from: Kyle Aaron;766997In the randomness of the dice lies the seed for the great oak of creativity and fun. The great virtue of the dice is that they come without boxed text.

I love Mystara and Dark Sun, as well, but in a poll with one pick option only, well...

Emperor Norton

Mine was a hard choice between Planescape, Dark Sun, Ravenloft, Spelljammer, and Eberron

Eventually I went with Planescape though.

Skywalker

Go go gadget Greyhawk! :)  I voted Greyhawk as I still think its the best D&D setting out there.
